it wont remove future choice? its just if you go fight a titan you either win or die and the bubble will disappear.
but its a fair opinion

Hereās another thought - What if part of the planning and strategy to take down a Titan actually involves building some sort of structure and luring it to said structure? The Bubble Theory will have removed your ability to think creatively and approach a problem with a novel solution! Anything that stifles creativity and parallel thinking I will object to in the friendliest of ways!
The downside would be that someone might live in the bubble, or unknowingly awaken the Titan by mistake.
I also ignored all the other comments, so if I missed someoneās brilliant fix Iām sorry.
as far as i have understood the titans will roam in a certain biome. so if you live there its kinda stupid.
Thereās no benefit to backing out of a Titan battle ā after all you lose, youāre the coward. I think a mental defeat is stronger, more catalysing than a physical one. Itāll drive you harder to come back and beat it!
Iād be down for a decently large radius where a titan will pursue a fleeing player, so you still have a chance at escape, but the fear⦠the fear is very real.
Why not have some kind of special biome with ruins (Oort temple) inside where the titan sleeps⦠Explore one of the many ruins inside for treasure or titan. When you find the one with a titan, mark itās location and get help⦠Can have larger guardians roam around temple that take some work or small party to attack and would be best to avoid if alone.
Also the titan would most likely be in a greenbelt area that cannot be beaconed⦠Would not be ideal to live there if affected by weather, decay, and time.
Enrage timer!
Though I donāt like the idea of no escape, perhaps there could be compromise. The bubble is enacted when a Titan sees the player, but if the players manages to hide away long enough, it will settle down and the Titan will drop the bubble. Thisād go nicely with the āshadowingā idea I have in another post.
You could give him an offering and worship him like a god⦠Maybe a sacrifice of one of your party members lmaoā¦
I donāt think death from a titan is all that bad, you drop what you have and respawn same as if you die any other way⦠Just keep all your valuable stuff at home⦠Even on non PvP worlds, some1 can send you down a slide into some embers and take what you drop. Tho I am not sure about a bubble, If there was some way for players to run away, once a few do die some others will back off and the titan will be that much harder to kill. It may need the cooperation of people attacking itās legs to bring it down for serious damage⦠A few will die but that was the risk and you should be preparedā¦
The only question I have is will they be in some kind of area that you will have to agree to fight it or will they be walking around of their own destroying everything in itās path?
I hope for the second but feel they should have some kind of involvement with an Oort temple⦠Maybe explore random temples, gain treasure, and find some kind of alter with a rare gem on it⦠This will awaken the titan and the gem will point to itās location if heās always moving around.
Shame. guess that settles it.
have there been thoughts on max amount of players who can fight a titan? or can you just go with 100 players and insta kill the titan?
I can see it now, a volley of pebbles raining from over the hills as everyone fires their slingshot all at once!
hopefully we will have something a bit more threatening by then xD
Flaming pebblesā¦
Of Lava.
This actually sounds kinda scary.
I dont like this idea at allā¦
i feel like it will harm the feeling of āfreedomā in the game
It would make sense for people to not venture out alone too often, but so long as itās not inescapable when there are too few of you if you manage to hide long enough/.
Must be Wardin players again, bringing all their lava worship with them.
well, what if, once you anger a titan, itās just really hard to get away, like, heāll be tossing rocks and stuff at you, and you need just as much skill to escape from the titan alone as it does to take him down with a small group?
cause if a titan sneaks up on you, or you accidentally stumble into his cookie-eating chamber, you donāt want to hold the player to it, you just want to make it really scary in the meantime.
or not. what do you think?
