What if torches could be like this, or any of these ( together or not )?
- You can place sticks on the ground like regular blocks
- You can light sticks/re-light torches with other torches, and/or with lighter tools
- You can harvest a torch as a torch, harvest an un-lit torch as a stick
- When torches run out of fire, they have burn marks on them, but still look like sticks
- You can re-light a stick by putting it through the crafting options
- There could be three different torch/stick variations ( stick / charred stick / torch )
- There can be Eternal Torches as well, that glow in a different light, and must be made with something rare or magical
- We could make it so that Eternal Stone/Mineral Torches are combined with crystal and make more supply than the average torch, of course with more sticks
- We could make Eternal Magic Torches which are made with a magic essence or the use of our own Mana/MP
- The Eternal Mineral Torches could be designed with a metal crown around the small ore on the stick, like in a diamond ring ( the square-ish claw design, atop the stick, holding the smoothed/sanded ore on top )
- But this is just me making up names to identify all this . . .
It might be nice to be able to hang signs and the like on torches,
or maybe be able to add customizations like torch holders, drawn carvings, drawn paint, maybe some pre-set decor too, and some armor or metals.
This is for lanterns, but maybe we could have an on and off option.
