Turning blocks with centered axes

There is an idea…

about for example the wheel for a watermill, and basically about how to make constructs, blocks, single blocks turn and spin around an axis.

I already have posted another conceptual drawing for the whole idea some time ago, but I think this one is more simple and compact
Maybe the picture helps explain:

I could place 6 poles per single cube . Either craft blocks with drilled holes on each side or chisel poleholes where you need them, and then add a pole/totem/axis which again is connected to a motor and generator.

Would be nice to have. Theoretically one could craft a Rubik’s Cube with these components, or at least I imagine it this way. I absolutely don’t know if the Turbulenz engine allows the dynamic and fluent movements of voxels.

Hope I’m not too early / late with the idea.

Voicing support for the idea, a light house type project I have bouncing around in my head could really use this type of block or pivot solution.

While we are at it, having a block that can apply gravity to near by blocks around it such that you can stand upside-down would be amazing.

Very well laid out thought. +1 for clarity and +1 for a great idea.

Thanks. I believe the idea had already been there, I just took the time to write it down. The Rubik’s cube aspect is rather “utopian” to me. Wouldn’t know how to activate each and every side in order to spin it within the game + rotational direction : |
