Unirails and New Mineable Resources

I had some ideas about building a unirail system and mining some new materials. The unirails would be simple, and look great no matter where they are placed since the track is basically a single thick metal rod. There would be a dock of sorts where the ridable platform would stop when it arrives, so the track could loop back to one of these docks or go between two of them. Rail blocks would include a straight and a curved version, with chiselling changing their orientation. Lastly, a platform would need to be crafted and could be placed inside the dock (like placing wood in a furnace). Different types of platforms could be crafted to transport storage, like a mine cart, or flat, ridable platforms for citizens.

I also wanted to suggest a few more minable resources since nothing has really been added besides the lucent gems. Maybe crystals of different kinds, or new minerals complete with a chemistry lab for crafting potions similarly to using the forge. It might be a nice challenge to search for rare crystals where they spawn so sparsely that it would be hard to find them even by using an atlas.

I’d adore any form of automated transportation in this game- it’d be neat to run a rail system through town as a way to tour the place.

Maybe you just equip your cart in your hand and “use” it on the rail?

Would be awesome if they could auto-link to any 8 adjacent squares so that you could make roller coasters with loops and such if you had enough momentum. Also diagonal track connections would be >Minecraft.

A gem cart would travel faster than an iron or copper cart lol… pimp yo ride! But instead of 6 gem types let the gems just be for shader purposes.

Also lucent carts… I want a blink travel cart! And make sure rails can work on sloped surfaces.
