Universal Forge Ingredient Apocalypse

I know a Hopper core shouldn’t be 1500 coin… but gums shouldn’t be < 5c either.

People who think the cheapest price is the best price is wrong. under-cutters don’t last… it’s impossible. People end up being a slave to their craft.

I’ve spoken to a few “Undercutters” who think they’re helping the economy… they are not. They are part of the problem.

I opened The Witches Brew about a month after release… I’ve seen a lot of folks come and go.

Edited to correct my less than sign.

I think the problem might be that a lot of the hunts are not on high tier planets, so lower creature drops. If people would hunt on t6 again on the regular then I think there would be good flow of creature drops again.

There has been a big focus on oort. So creature drops are limited to t4 or t3s. Where people hunt

I sell everything I get on hunts. Use that coin to buy stuff I want or need to keep extending my longevity for hunting. Slowly been stockpiling on things while they are cheap. I seen the prices on some of the items and realized rather quickly that the market is going to shift within the next few months back to what it used to be.

I also think it has to do in part to income potential. How much can a person make per time spent. I know that’s what made me change.

I did mostly hunting in the beginning because I was having fun. But then I moved to mining.

I think @MrNiX was on point when he said many of us just aren’t selling them anymore. I have lots of mats that people request, but there isn’t a reason for me to sell them. I don’t need money and if the costs of forged goods get to high, I’ll just use the mats to make my own. Most of what I sell is to set individuals and the price isn’t as important as simply being part of the community.

Most of the hunts are T5. Plenty of mats and plenty of Oort. I haven’t seen aT3 Hunt in months.

T5 is just as good as T6. The difficult terrain takes more time… T5 are the most priductiveZ this has zero to do with lack of hunting.

This has to do with new players over-inflating the cost… I’ve seen this first hand… And undercutters who cannot complete with suppply/demand.

I’m not sure if you meant to reply to me, but I fully believe you. I don’t have time to make community hunts anymore and get all of my mats from solo hunting and dragging exo mobs into lava. So I have no idea what the current state of hunting is.

Oh, I though a lot of the hunts were still happening on lower tiers due to seeds in meteors or something.

Peyago. My group and at least two other groups hunt daily. My hunts have about 20-25 people.

People are hunting.

It’s not lack of hunts. It’s new players who have infiltrated the market and raised the prices. Combined with the new found knowledge on how to forge max everything on less than forgeable gear.

At any rate Forging Matter will have all pasted restocked tomorrow. They’ve been sitting in my extractors because I’ve been busy doing other stuff.

I don’t give my inventory away… but I’m dependable.

I wouldn’t pin this on the new players. We have several in our place & they fit right in with their prices. On the flip-side, there is a well-known entity selling paste right now for 5 figures. I think all of the low cost and reasonable cost items have been bought up, and what’s left is odd over-priced items here and there. I just ran through 10+ planets and no one was selling fate paste II.

Like Peyago, I don’t do much with my supplies tbh. I just collect everything. Hopper cores used to bring 800-1200+ each, eyes used to be 3 figures, gems used to be 100-150c each, gem gear used to be 1000+ clean and 14000+ forged.

I see a lot of people selling forged gear for 2500-7500. Even lucent stuff sometimes. It’s worth way more than that imo. Way more. This means that they didn’t pay much for their supplies to make those items. I’m sure some people are selling their drops and supplies to baskets or guilds so they can keep making things.

Edit to add: I agree 100% that this isn’t due to lack of hunting. The group on Delta a few hours ago almost had 50 players in it. They do that everyday.

Ya, I’ve seen this as well.
I forged a few things, and just calculating the cost of materials using what i WOULD have made selling the Beans and the Lamella, and Hopper cores to request baskets…
and JUST by using the money I “lost” by using these to forge with instead of selling to baskets… they are coming up at LEAST 15k for 3 boons at lvl 10…

So, technically… if I dont sell these for 20k, I make more money just selling mats to baskets

It is in part to new players. I’ve seen it my self… I play full time (I only play Boundless And I play about 10 hours per day) and pay attention… other players are keeping up and adjust their pricing. But, I could literally name names and find the correlation.

This is definitely not the fault of new players. I can point out many OGs that have higher-than-average prices on many things too. New players are not impeding anyone from crafting, hunting, mining, forging, etc. Most of the ones I’ve helped don’t even have a grapple and haven’t moved skill points around.

Like I said, I play full time and could literally name names because I follow this extremely closely since I actually have a forge mat shop. You’re experience might be different, but I can see the correlation between a surge of new players. Also, let’s not forget a new player today, can go from gold grapple to end game in days…

at least if they join with iLLumiNaughty.

I am not a casual player. I sometimes stay up till 3am playing the game.

Due to how I play, keeping an eye on who is selling what, for what price is part of what I do. It’s easy to see the prices of everything now…it’s not hidden anymore.

I stand by what I said. I follow this… literally daily. The economy in this game is what I do.

Same…I run Gyosha Mall lol - and it’s not the only place I visit everyday

Edit to add: I think it’s bad form to blame new players. You are entitled to your opinions though. Have a good evening.

I run Naughty Mall.

I’ve also been a shop keeper from the get go.

You’re time is divided between at least two other games… nothing wrong with that, but it does count.

Just saying my perspective is not without thought or research. That’s all.

And for what it’s worth I wish I had a switch so I could play Animal Crossing with you💗

If I had Animal Crossing, I’d play that with you :kissing_heart: too lol. I don’t play on switch tho. :disappointed_relieved:
