I’m not quite ready yet but I wanted to inform you all of the next contest. It will be held n Munteen VII right behind my giant sword. Each participant will be given a 2x2 plot area to build on. I’m finishing up the platform still so it’ll be a little while before I’m ready but I just wanted to give you all a heads up so those interested could start brain storming ideas. As I said each section is 2x2 plots with no vertical limit. The contest will be to use the new chisel system to create a piece of art that will have its own area to be displayed potentially indefinitely. Prizes will include items not currently available in game. The devs have graciously agreed to supply prizes which I’m sure will make this contest well worth the time. There is a total of 15 sections for contestants which means once all 15 are claimed there won’t be anymore. i will post more details on the rules once I get closer to finishing the building area.
I will be entering this contest. Please reserve me a section.
I won’t be entering but may help one of the contestants.
Un-entered myself because I just realized how badly my hands hurt from all the clicking recently. Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s entries tho!
Is Munteen a US-East place? Will I have an escort so I don’t die? And if I don’t have a chisel tool, would I not be able to join? Or would we get free chisel tools of high durability?
What’s the ETA on the chisels? Are we gonna be given permission on your location for the event or are we going to use our own plots? I just want to make sure I save enough plots for this if I need to!
Each contestant will need at least 4 plots simply to take the 2x2 section but most likely more to build higher than 8 blocks up. This contest won’t start until the chisel update goes live but I’ll look into supplying chisels for all contestants.
That’s exactly what I wanted to do but when I built a test section it looked terrible because of the frames on the glass blocks so I decided against it.
Aww, yeah, I get that. Hmm…maybe extend the platform edges out a bit? Only cause, when I was chiseling on Testing, I kept getting lost in my own sculpture and I’d have to move a plot or two backwards to get my bearings and see how everything was looking.
But I’m not actually in the contest, so better leave it to you and the contestants
