Uses for gravel besides building?

well you might need it. . if you play for a while (years) you eventually need everything. .

2018 and still no use for dirt in Minecraft smh. Gonna finally go burn down my boxes of dirt stacks…

no don’t do it!!!

Edit - expanded on original post

Idea:

Item: sifting table – 10 timber + 10 iron. Acts just like a basic crafting table, but with no recipes, just input gravel and silty soil in slots. Sifts 100 blocks at a time over a timed duration (maybe 20-30 min)

Use: sift gravel and silty sediments for a % chance (per block) for ore nuggets.

5% - gold nuggets
10% - iron nuggets
15% - copper nuggets

Nuggets: 10- 20 to smelt into a ore rod?

Just spitballing

My Ideas

Gravel + soil(or sand?) + water = concrete.
Gravel + mud + furnace = adobe.
Gravel + ink = Asphalt

Yes! Adobe would be nice, I loved using it in ark for my War Bronto.

Gravel+sand+ash+water =concrete, could be made in the mixer. One of them would obviously need to act as the primary colour that the concrete will become.
