It would be great that when you holster your tools that have the weather quirk then the effect remains. At the moment once you holster it it just remove the quirk and the default weather is back. Would be handy when you want to take a nice screenshot with the desired weather without tools in the horizon.

related to this, would also be good if it’s possible to take screenshots when you’re grappled to a point and be able to hide the grappling hand

It sounds like the real request is for a comprehensive “screenshot mode” button that hides UI & hands without actually un-equipping the items.
A high rez screenshot like Elite Dangerous has would be cool too, though not super necessary. It pauses on-screen rendering and slowly renders the screenshot at max resolution, taking however long it needs to.

I’m not sure if ps4 has one but I think f10 is screenshot mode. Is that what you mean?
But it does not remove the tools you have in hand. only hide UI.

Sure, F10 to hide UI, Z to stow tools, but hiding tools rather than stowing would be nice.
