It’s almost like you knew what James and me were talking about. However no, I’m thinking about a giant illuminating flower. I’m still thinking. Main focus right now are bugs.
I was specially requested to come back and give the new C++ some love and attention. I already immediately have two things on my list.
Just a wild guess… Sivir main?
Wow it has been a long tie indeed
Tbh not even sure who you are. The profile you’re using was created 4 days ago.
Rukio is one of the very first members. He broke the game a lot in pre-alpha and was very diligent at bug reports. His lighthouse on fooks changed the way lighting is handled when you use lots of lights all together.
Ah, gotcha.
Well hiya! I’m Rukio! I actually made a post very long introducing myself. I’ll work around getting a new one up. However you can check out the old link and see all my habits!
http://playboundless.com/forums/topic/hi-im-rukio/
Clicking the link will lead you to my suggestions, bug reports and a super old guide I made way back when our character models were the ancient and secret race, the Orange Oortians.
Cool. Things have changed quite a bit since your departure. It’d probably be helpful for you catch up via the news and devlog sections of these forums.
Thanks! I know I have a lot to read. I will probably digest everything while at college today.
Also to give you an example of how far back I go, I even have Ben announcing me!
I tune out when gamers play the seniority card. It’s skill and knowledge (and loyalty to some extent ;P) that make gamers shine in my eyes. So your past glories and claims-to-fame don’t interest me. The game has evolved as have the impressive builds that have come since your past builds. @Nyuudles’s build showcased in the game’s new trailer, the community city on Kovah initiated, planned, and lead by @Havok40k, and many, many others come to mind.
So yes, your past build and past experience don’t impress me (though it may impress others, who knows. To each their own). Your future glories and claims-to-fame likely will. So get out there and make our game bug-free for launch and build even more impressive things!!
Really though @Rukio’s tower was a wonder of nature, if you placed blocks within its area you could wait like 10 seconds for them to appear. It tore time itself apart
Yeah, it does look neat. But I’m not about to lay down a carpet for his return or bow my head or anything. Basically it’s hard for me to treat him like a superior because of his seniority when he left the game. People like you, @Thorbjorn42gbf, and @Havok40k and others who have been around and stayed and poured ideas and energy and time into this game to help shape it and make it great…these are the folks I internally respect the most.
So until @Rukio gets back to finding loads of bugs, working on community events, builds, discussions, etc., and helping to draw even more players to the game I’ll treat him as an equal instead of a superior. His contributions in the past have been noted. Time to see what he can do for our future.
Edit: sorry if I seem snarky. We keep getting so many “I’m back” posts and it’s like “great, but wish you could have stayed and helped shape the game and contributed to discussions, debates, etc.!”.
Eh, folk are going to come and go all the time; it’s not a bad thing, and we should respect it. Let’s just celebrate when folk come back, regardless of their history with the game - after all, they’re back and helping shape the community now; that’s good, right?
Like you said, you don’t know who I am so you don’t really care. I’m not trying to grab your attention and get you starry eyed. My ‘red carpet post’ was for people who are vetereans and have been in the rough of the game. From the beginning, so I apologize as it wasn’t for you. I was merely greeting my old pals!
My return was requested from the devs themselves! I know quite a few on a personal level. I do the bugging for fun and free, thats what I get out of this. Not ‘fame’. Thanks for the note on me though! Finding a lot of those bugs and taking the time to report them all made the game better for everyone and that is what matters. Stopping you guys that are newer from experiencing the issues where I’ve literally crashed entire servers is my goal.
You’ll become accustomed to my shenanigans, if not. That’s A-Okay with me! Just know I’m in the background hammering away making your experience a more positive one. I mainly work while streaming that way I can show the devs how to replicate an issue with ease.
I’m sure we will get to know each other better as time goes on.
EDIT: I’d like to point out I didn’t ‘leave leave’, I just couldn’t break anything at the time on the legacy servers. So I went elsewhere to break things in games such as: Project Zomboid, Vermintide, Paragon, LawBreakers, Vagante and some fun time in Overwatch!>
Here is a small example of work I’ve done with FatShark! (Most of the bugs with “highlight coming soon” were fixed before I could fully report them since they were watching the stream.)
Here!
Deep breaths, @Clexarews, deeeep breaths!
So Manny fancy words
Welcome back @Rukio!
We missed you
How does one reduce their breathing rate below baseline? HALP!
I agree. We should respect it. I just thought I’d interpreted his reply to me as expecting me to be starry-eyed over his return and wanted to make clear that I wasn’t and wouldn’t ever be, for any player. His subsequent reply made clear that this was not his intention, so everything is good now.
Good to be back. We should make a secret handshake or something. @Squidgy
Regardless! Off the bat I’ve found roughly 3 bugs. 4 if borderless fullscreens is implemented and not working. I’ll be streaming tonight (around 12 am EST) to explore and try to break things. It’ll almost be like I never left.
Edit: I guess I better get used to tagging people.
