I’d say your post was leaning in the direction my conversations were going. It required tools and other features around machines. If we looks at how they have done everything with the game I’d expect blueprints to be the same theme and type of design… some grind, some time, some resources, some durability and wear and tear.
Of course I was talking with them along 2 different lines - 1) actual blueprints to build/maybe sell, etc. and do things like copy trees and get them to other planets and 2) (more my focus) blueprints that were designed to help people MOVE. For those it was more of a suck up and transit type technology.
At the time of most of my conversations we were still dealing with settlement fights and buffer issues and people complaining about those building beside them and the huge fights that ensued. I was trying to find an easy way to give people an option to move to another area. The Devs can copy/paste areas so why not find a way to move that tech ability to us… Snap and area, have it reclaimed, transit it to another planet, lay it out and kick off the machine to rebuild it over time, then do a bit of terraform on the areas that didn’t fully match. Person moved and happy and less fights across the Universe.
