“Here’s your damn update!” is EXACTLY what I’d say
I’d say something along the line of ****** ur ********* update u ***********************************************
Also these also represent spaces
Hmm, looks like a lot of what you said there got redacted.
This isn’t the moment when a business leader asks for and receives emotional support from his customer base - this is when he delegates tasks to the appropriate staff and focuses on the things that only he is capable of doing for the business. It’s something I suggested directly to him a long time ago when he WAS frequently on the forums. If you’re pulling in over £30k/yr and you’re spending half of your day doing £30k chores, you’re wasting money and hurting your business.
If it weren’t for all of the other dark signs on the horizon, I’d be more encouraged by his ABSENCE on the forums than his presence. At least then I could tell myself, “Maybe he’s doing his actual job and not his assistant’s assistant’s assistant’s job for once.”
But I didn’t go to high school with any of the devs, and I have 0 sympathy for anyone in a company whose very reason for existence is to convince me to part with money. A lot of people on here are way too emotionally invested in a team of strangers who will not be present at their birthdays, weddings, and/or funerals.
Some of what you say seems a bit… bleak?
But, again, this is ALL speculation
Put on a smile, play the game (or don’t), and get on with it
Nothing got redacted I put em there
I agree with MR SPOODLE hahha- Everyone should kill some time spend their millions at some of the malls in game and before you know it BOOM UPDATE will drop.
You may need to re-evaluate your relationship with Wonderstruck and determine whether or not they still have feelings for you. Especially after we all saw them making out with Larian at the office Christmas party.
It’s more of an open relationship. They can do what they like. We all got a cool game out of it
hahaha just noticed @DJDancecraft shouted MOM at the end of that clip
Except now you’d like to see the game grow and mature, and Dev Daddy went down the street to get a pack of cigarettes and no one’s seen him since. Which is really the essence of this thread and all of the forum angst in general.
As long as he’s going to a far away store to grab those good cigarettes that he knows I’ll like, I’d be happy to sit and wait.
Daddy knows what I like
I dont know about that hahha- I personally have spoken to James a handful of times over the past month- with no delay on responses.
Id say the team are working out some kinks and as they say no news is good news.
Never said I thought of Wonderstruck devs as friends, or that I thought they had specifically ‘nice’ feelings towards me…
Though because someone isn’t a close friend, and that I won’t see that person at my b-day or wedding or funeral doesn’t mean I should have 0 sympathy toward them…
I think James is a beautiful creature, and I shall not hide my feelings for him/her.
Yep, even if I don’t know the creators of my favorite games personally and of course it is a business, at the same time, very few developers from what I’ve read aside from some pure cash grabs and some of the big-company-execs (who are only interested in $$$ and not gamers) do not see their work as a passion. And also pour a lot of their lives into it, make a lot of sacrifices. I’d describe my own feelings, and what holds back more negativity on my part when I get frustrated with games, is a combination of gratitude and also the realization that my happiness from playing might have come at the expense of another’s unhappiness, which I hate. It is a game to me, their lives for them. To play some update a bit sooner, someone might have missed their kid’s recital or soccer game, have put strain on a relationship, even endangered their own health with stress and long hours, ect.
That said, this line of thinking -

It’s more of an open relationship. They can do what they like. We all got a cool game out of it
… Is what made me do that silly Distracted Boyfriend edit in the memes thread, it was just too tempting.
