Oh yeah! Reminds me of
Oh no! Now I have the song in my head!!!
Isaac Netero From hunter x hunter
Did you just call Drizzt Do’Urden a COWARD? that guy has no idea what the word self presservation means, and will attack bloody giants while lauging in exitement.
But yeah the Drow is an awesome race
Talking fantasy I really like the kender from dragonlance both because of their look and behavior.
They look a bit like children both because of their size and youthful look.
Kender is extremely dangerous not because they are aggrasive or anything like that but because you can be sure if there is anything can go wrong the kender will make it go wrong. If there is an orc encampment nearby the kender will surely go talk with them, dragons? the kender will unknowingly provoke it and the same goes for weapons of mass destruction and so on.
At the same time kender is by birth some of the best thiefs in the world they are actually so good that they most of the time have no idea that they are stealing things. If you ever loose your wallet near a kender you can be sure he have it, and he will probably throw an ecuse like: “I must have picked it up from the ground or something you really should take better care of your stuff”
A kender proof prison have not been invented to date so it is custom when they are caught to throw them in prison for the night and then out of town the next day.
I loved the mild appeal of Princess Mononoke’s Wood God.
It’s artisitc and mysterious. And of course - well animated.
But also one of my alltime favorites in relation to games and comics is the Lemmings figure.
I always loved it’s simplistic head style and tousle head. The figures ingame were only a few pixels in size but so well animated, you were able to realize the characters’ shape.
I’ve really enjoyed the character design of Arcann from SWTOR’s Knights of the Fallen Empire. The trailer starts off with he and his brother sort of representing the light and dark sides of the force in terms of clothes and which side of the conflict they fight against. But as his hatred grows, he gains a black mask and black clothing to sort of represent the mixture of the two sides of the Force inside of him. It helps symbolically that the mask covers half of his face.
I love the design for Lord Beerus from DBS (Dragon ball super)
The symmetry on this character is painfully satisfying, along with his purple skin.
Then I also enjoy the cyborg from One Punch Man, Genos.
I really like how they made all of his body metal and robotic, but his face is human. It constantly reminded me that he wasn’t just a robot.
I loooove the kenders, especially Tolpan Barefeet. But Kenders are a real plague when you have to come along with them. In two LARPs I had Kenders in our settlement and they took nearly everything from me … Funny was, that even with 100 ppl playing I just know that he was it and I got my stuff back … only to lose it again on the next chance ^^ … And the curiousity in their blood can cause maaaaaaany trouble when in a party ^^
I’ve always loved the design on the characters from tf2. Every single one of em is super cool in their own way. I also really like how each character has a unique silhouette so they can all be easily identified even from long distances.
First…From Avatar the Na’vi
Because who wouldn’t want to be a 10 foot badass blue Cat? and the Ikran, because who wouldn’t want to bond with their own dragon???
Then, wood elves…because I love how they are totally one with their environment…can climb trees with the ease of monkeys and are master archers and survivalists
and finally…werewolves! Cuz you can turn into a wolf (or other were animal) and run free! I like the werewolf descriptions that let the person be in control and experience the joys of being wild. (not the stories where they are monsters with no control and kill everything)
Stylistically, my favorite character designs are that of Pathfinder. The detail given to each character tells a story of who they are and where they have been.
My personal favorite, Feiya the witch.
You are like the coolest person!!!
You and I have the same minds.
Totoro would make a pretty awesome character race concept though
K not main characters, but as far as design and behaviour these are some of my favorites from random things.
Dog - that was the best game of fetch I ever played. Most adorable chunk of metal ever
The Ood. Basic design but I love everything about them.
Silent hill nurses… because silent hill nurses. Even just the movement was perfect.
Last but not least… this guy
Thank you @G_Sage! I love to imagine lots of different ways to experience the world and life in general…being human is really rather boring LOL hence why I play waaaaayyyyy more games than I can count to escape just for a little while
Anything with gas masks is usually cool
The power armor from Fallout is pretty cool as well
I think the spriggans from Skyrim were amazingly well-designed
Pretty much all of the Warframes are awesome
The big daddies from Bioshock look menacing, yet friendly in a way
Corvo from Dishonored was also a very well designed character
I could go on, but these are some of the coolest examples of character/creature design in games for me.
My favorite character design is that of the “warrior artisan”. This character is a warrior who also appreciates aesthetic detail in everything from architecture, craftsmanship, or combat. These warriors often heavily embellish their armor and weapons, as are the castles or fortes they reside in. They work tirelessly to sharpen their skills in both art and combat.
My personal favorite example of the warrior artisan is the Blood Angels of Warhammer40k
