Bit by bit, putting it together
Piece by piece, only way to make a work of art
Every moment makes a contribution
Every little detail plays a part
Having just a vision’s no solution
Everything depends on execution
Putting it together, that’s what counts!
Ounce by ounce, putting in together
Small amounts, adding up to make a work of art
First of all you need a good foundation
Otherwise it’s risky from the start
But without the proper preparation
Having just a vision’s no solution
Everything depends on execution
The art of making art
Is putting it together, bit by bit
Art isn’t easy
Every minor detail is a major decision
Have to keep things in scale
Have to hold to your vision
Bit by bit, putting it together
Piece by piece, working on the vision night and day
All it takes is time and perseverance
With a little luck along the way
Today was a day of visiting places that used to be. Playing tourist with memories. I sat on the hill where the Shire town hall used to be; spent some time splashing on the edge of the water where once a walled city used to be and then around to where there was a stonemason’s guild complete with a massive hammer chiselled into the walls; visited the spot where the prettiest farming settlement I ever saw used to be; looked at now closed portals to places I knew well - and I smiled remembering all the nice people I’ve gotten to meet in this game, glad I did get to meet them and admire their builds.
I wish I’d gotten screenshots of The Shire and New Oortia when I first started playing. I don’t think the videos are even on Lollash’s channel any more. But it’s interesting how clearly I can see in the landscape where things used to be
My first guild, RINO Neighborinos, I have the place bookmarked where it used to be. I’d love to recreate it, but that was before compactness and the build would break compactness.
Playing tourist again, this time to Hypnos to admire once again @ellyphant’s gorgeous build. On my way back to the portal I saw this elegant fellow trumpeting stars
Working on my workshop today. Why I chose black as the theme when most of everything I have are bright colors Mostly flat roofs for this build so happy.
me? nothing yet, but @MrsStar has been working hard clearing my area! a totaling roughly 1900 plots
good job @MrsStar, you did an awesome job, thank you for doing it for me.
ofcourse it would have been a free service but i have rewarded her for the hard work!
Changed the lyrics on the signs at Gigg to love songs, starting with a fragment of the Stone Roses ‘Ten Storey Love Song.’ Oortmas being well and truly over, I closed the portal to the Xmas on the Oortwalk build, and opened it to the Heart of Lacuna build. This build is what you get when you decide to recreate a tiny little embroidered heart at a 1:1 scale while forgetting that a block space in Boundless is just a little bit larger than threads on a cross stitch … unlike my little silver heart in Gigg which is little
Gave Kennicula Castle a bit of love this weekend. Expanding the footprint on Sorissi, my home away from home
Made more bricks … among other things.
Stayed busy, as always.
All the deco rock is refined rock from XP valley that was given to me after there use of XP. Some times people keep it and some people give it to me so I had a idea to make deco rock and all the money that is made from sales will go to prizes for events I host
