I listen to a lot of podcasts about labor. Jacob Geller makes video essays I adore, often about video games; this one is about labor at video game companies, Night In The Woods, and Tacoma.

Been listening A LOT to the OST of the Netflix show Arcane.
Never thought I would ever give a flying flock about the League of Legends universe as I always saw that IP as “just another MobA” like DotA, but here I am now being somewhat invested in the characters.
The people behind a lot of the 3D animated stuff Riot uses are a french studio called Fortiche located in Paris, and I for one can only applaud the artistry behind everything they put out.
Arcane is a god damn masterpiece, bumped in my all-time top 10 animated shows. Comparatively, I tried to give a go at the animated show based on DotA, “Dragonblood”, and I wasn’t able to finish it as I was just bored.
For reference, here are some of the music videos animated by Fortiche that you might have seen.
It really blew up in popularity with the whole KDA popstars they did for Riot a few years ago :
Imagine Dragons did the music “Warriors”, and then more recently the better known “Enemy”, which fits the theme of Arcane perfectly and became the intro of the show, as well as a kickass music-video :
Took 6 years to produce this first season, and I can see why. The artstyle they used makes it so that every frame looking like a 2D painting.
I recommend you to watch this show if you haven’t already, and that’s from someone who doesn’t play League of Legends and still doesn’t intend to become one of its players.
