What is a precious alloy?

What alloys are considered Precious?

Or is it a, combination of several alloys?

Thanks

An alloy is a combination of metals. Precious is gold, silver, titanium.
For crafting, you mix either silver or gold with a base metal.

Gold mixed with Copper, or Silver mixed with Iron. Not sure if Titanium counts as it’s Titanium mixed with a precious alloy?

Just silver & Gold is precious, Titanium doesnt count

OK.

Another Q if I may.

I need to produce 100 spark in my mixer.

Do I need to link multiple generaters or can 1 generate the 100 spark if I use the correct fuel?

Thanks

Just 1 gen is fine.
Extra gens only add extra slots to help burn a larger amount into spark.

you can use one spark generator, it will generate the spark you need

Early game I found peaty soil the easiest fuel. Pretty sure it works in a Spark Generator as well as a furnace.

If you do put Spark generators side by side you can fuel them both through the same screen and split the fuel so they charge quicker.

OK.

So the generator will store up spark and deplete as it’s used?

Is there a max amount of spark a genie can store?

Sorry, if these are dumb questions.

These are GOOD questions

I have a million stored in my two

Edit: bear in mind if you have to break it you will lose the spark. You can move a generator by “walking” 2 or more - take off one end and add to the other end.

You only need one spark generator. You just need to add spark links from the generator to your machines then add fuel to generate spark. More generators will just give u more slots to add fuel in up to a max of 16.

As your machines use the spark it will deplete. Idk what the max spark you can have is but the highest i’ve gone is about 2 mil

The other advantage of having multiple cores apart from the quicker spark generation if you spread the fuel across all the slots is the longer wear time, one core can need repairing very often depending on the usage. If you do want to connect cores then the maximum is 4 in any direction with a max core size of 16, plus they all repair as one unlike coils which have to be repaired individually.

Yeah, think of it as an impossibly large gas tank. Spark is “gas”.

This.

Gold has a pretty low melting point… roughly only 1,900f where as iron is 2,800f

Edit: Also gold is very soft… why it has to be alloyed to make jewelry with. Hence the Karrot system.

IIrc the max spark per generator is 1.6m

Why don’t you experiment?

Definitely Do Not move your spark generator with any spark in it. I did and lost over 450k spark. It was only from one floor to the other so I thought it would be okay, and my son did so, but he had less than 10k spark. He moved his and when he started it back up hi spark was still there.
Mine, sadly, was gone. So, now building up spark again.
You just need the one generator, but I do think there is a limit on how much of the line/links that can be run between the machines, so you need to take that into consideration.
You can use peat, I have used compact peat in my generators. I have a separate generator for the advanced coils that are on another floor.
hope that helps

90 links per side on the generator. Also if you want I can give your a little bit of compact soft coal goes for you @Janna55 and @SirGreenDay

Actually up to 16 adjacent cores are one container entity, so you can move this by adding cores onward and removing from the tail step by step.
