English (native language): Hello <–very boring
Spanish (second language with formal education): Hola <–more exciting i.m.o.
Japanese (third language, but self taught): こんにちは、ね (konnichi wa, ne; or Hello, hey (2 different ways))<–Favorite of the 3
I’m glad you liked it^^ And yes we’re very lucky with our educational system around here. But you only get to appreciate it long after^^ While you’re learning so many things it’s just tedious.
About japanese, to be honest the words I remember can be counted on maybe 2-3 hands^^ I know nothing about sentence structure or any grammar. So yea^^ But if you have some free resources I could check out I’d be very grateful.
Also hell yea I’d take japanese over any language^^ Even if rationally it isn’t really an efficient language^^

Danish
I assume this is your mother tongue right? Do you know swedish? And if, how close are danish and swedish?
It is, English being my second language.
In terms of geography, Denmark and Sweden, are pretty close, only having Norway inbetween.
In terms of language, I would say that Norwegian is problerly closer to Danish than Swedish.
We can however roughly understand oneanother… Somtimes.
Hm, I don’t know if you know that but can you understand each other as much as an italian can understand a frenchman?^^

In Sweden the word for choise and election is the same = “Val”
In Denmark, the word for these words is pretty similar to the Swedish equivalent = “Valg”
In Swedish, “Val” also happens to be the word for “Whale”
Whereas the Danish equivalent is “Hval” - with a silint H no less.
So in some cases we are able to undstand oneanother
Isn’t that exaclty like french and italian (or any roman language) which have some words almost the same? Or is swedish and danish even closer?
To my ear at least, Swedish and Danish sounds closer than Italian and French.
Though Danish and Norwegian is closer than Swedish and Danish.
It’s possible I think if Danish and Swedish can understand each other sometimes without thinking then it is indeed closer.
As far as I know you can deduce what something means from French to Italien and reverse but it always takes some thinking if not a lot^^ (and maybe knowledge of a third roman language)
So Danish/Norwegian is closer than Swedish/Danish. Where is Swedish/Norwegian on that scale?

Yeah hej is hello hallå or hejsan means like hey tjena is sup but you could say all is ment ti mean hello
Denmark would i think zero while norwegian much much much more and finish nit that much but some and we do understand some german
Val mens multible things val can mean whale choise and like a president vote we say president val but vote is rösta kinda confusing lol

As far as i know danish isent close to norwegian or swedish. norwegian is really close to swedish. I hope this helps
