Where do the creature colors come from? Answers inside!

So for those wondering where the creature colors come from…I have answers! I’m sure if you studied the creatures and the environment you’d be able to put 2+2 together but this is taken from a release palette in world builder. So for anyone curious how it all works on the public worlds, look no further.

Note that it’s not an exact copy. It looks like the animals basically link to the colors of the blocks mentioned below and then add a specified amount of random variation.

Wildstock get their tints from grass.

Spitters get their tints from foliage.

Cuttletrunks get their tints from wood.

Hoppers get their tints from rocks.

Roadrunners get their tints from gleam/sand.

This is how I got Bambi spitters! I included a photo in the test thread I believe. I was so curious how it happened haha

Which reminds me about the creatures “lore” when they were introduced first. Cuttles were supposed to like trees, sitting in their leaves and only lifting themselves when alerted to potential prey.
