Shouldn’t distance 0-30 be one type of rock, then 30-60 be another, then 60-80 be another?
Why are rock types so unorganically spread around the worlds?
edit I take it back, there are layers, but there are pockets of random sand and gravel and other rock types frequently I think.

It’s not unorganicaly. It’s a different stratas. IRL different rock types are layered too.

IRL has no place here. (kidding) This is a game, where you’re supposed to mine to find ores. It would be nice to have some sort of idea where you are at.
I would love having something sort of rock that surrounded ores by 2 blocks, the idea that I’m missing things because I’m 1 block away, is frustrating.
I always find myself mining through Sedimentary rock at low altitudes, which kind of bugs the Scientist part of my brain, it should be more Igneous rock at low altitudes, but like dude^^ said it is a game…
