World Control as Reward for Viceroy (Perm Worlds)

I’m thinking that a fun reward for reaching Viceroy status (person who controls the beacon with highest prestige on the planet - please correct me if I’m using the wrong term) would be to be able to pick the colors for the world!

Viceroys would have access to the color page only from a world control on that planet, essentially. I’m not suggesting that they should be able to change plotting permissions or anything like that.

Perhaps they should only be able to change one or a few block’s colors (per cycle?)?

A long time ago I was looking forward to the largest guilds earning the tax on their planets (it was planned/mentioned at some point, a long time ago, lol) and I understand why economically that just isn’t viable, but I think it would be really cool to have a reward for reaching Viceroy status beyond just an achievement.

Maybe this idea isn’t your cup of tea. Do you have any other ideas for how to reward a Viceroy? I’m just having a slow morning at work and my mind is drifting… :slight_smile:

I think this is an interesting idea, but it really wouldn’t be fair on anyone who has built their base on a particular planet for the colours that were there. There is every chance that a malevolent individual would use it as a way to troll.

Yeah, I can see that being a possibility.

Maybe they could only change the colors of things like grass and flowers? Non-blocks

I like having grass colors I can rely on. Sov colors are nice, but if I am picking a grass color, I try to go with one I know I can restock seed for.

I just expanded my mall shop and had to switch grass colors, replanting and re-placing all shop stands because the sov grass I used isn’t available and I forgot to go back and get a backstock before the world closed.

This could trigger once again the viceroy dramas. I think we should avoid giving any privilege to viceroy’s

As much as I would love to rule over mcrib in some way, I think any benefit for reaching viceroy status should be purely cosmetic. Maybe some body paint or a badge. There could be other rewards for reaching certain prestige levels like 5m, 10m, 20m, etc.

God no! There’s already been far too much BS because of prestige and world rank and Viceroy status. Its the one thing I wish was removed.

I dont have any ideas for viceroy other than bragging rights but wouldnt be against a reward that gave people a reason to keep building as long as it didn’t hurt others like changing peoples settlement names etc, as it stand now its a pointless title that gives no motivation to achieve but then how do new players compete when they are years behind so maybe its best to forget it
