World travel problem

Hello guys,

after a little break I started playing again and found out that I can only travel to Planets they’re near.

Planets they’re just displayed as a little cannot be pointed with a Totem.

Even a Sovereign World that is just only 2 blinksecs away cannot be pointed anymore.

I’m sorry if this kind of topic already exist or has been solved already.

Thank you for your answers!

Assume you are using a totem with warp augment and attempting to travel in game and not sanctum.
Is the sovereign your attempting to travel to one that you have travelled to before?
If not it’s possible that it might be a private sov and therefore only people with perms can warp there.
Also check your skill page and ensure you have the appropriate warp skills.

Iirc sovereigns that you don’t have warp permissions to, don’t even show up in your sky and are only visible to those with permissions.

I tried it again and made photos of it.

I can travel the “large shown” worlds, “Official” and the Sovereign’s one,

but not the “small one’s”.

I’m playing on PS4, if this helps somehow.

You will need to travel to a closer world to be able to warp to those ones appearing as more distant stars.

Well, I could travel to that “far away” planets before that Valentintins day event.

That’s why I’m wondering why I can’t now or was it a bug before?

Do you have locations saved on those further away planets?
If so, you should be able to place down a couple of warp conduits and select them as a destination.

You only use the totem/warp augment to save a location on a nearby planet.

Planets that appear as a speck are located around different planets, and need to be accessed from its central body.
The only pseudo-exceptions to this rule are Exoplanets, but they are usually way too far away to access with a warp, if you aren’t on the closest planet to it.

I see, wierd, I remember something different but good to know how it’s working.

Thank you all <3

Were you trying from the same planet before the Valentine’s event and with the same ‘skills’ for warp distance?

If you started with a new character, you’ll need to add points to the warp distance skill.

Yes, tried traveling from Solchaltin l to a nearby Planet, 1blinksec upto 24 blinksec and today I tried to travel to an Exoplanet 33 blinksecs away.

I got the skill maxed for the warp distance and using the standard Totem with that yellow stone (see pictures).

Tried to travel from other planets aswell.

could your location list be full ? I’m not sure if that’s a thing, but I got a vague memory of something similar

Just to confirm…

  • You are placing down Warp Conduit blocks (made from rocks and trunks) and interacting with them, then selecting your destination world?
  • Your saved locations are showing up in the list that appears when interacting with the warp conduits?
  • Your list of saved locations is not full? (there’s no visual indicator for this as far as I know).

Do you have more than 1 skill page? If so are you on the right one?

Sorry for being unclear, I can’t mark any planet and no Exoplanet, that is a “little star” even having the right skill learned. That’s why I can’t check if traveling is working.
That one that increases the range of blinksecs.(playing the game in german language)
And yes, I’m on the right skill page, I checked that too.

That skill’s max lv is 3 and increases travel distance by 44 blinksecs, 22 blinksecs for opening Portals.

I can’t mark any planet that is a “little star” even being in the range.

I already traveled to a “little star” that is sovereign world because I needed a specific wood color.

That’s why, since that nice Valentines Day it feels like marking little worlds is blocked or something.

Maybe re-install it on PS4 could solve something?

Because those are too far away from you, are you stuck on a planet some where?

Is your home beacon on a creative world? because i have i seen a bug where if you live on a creative world and then travel to a exo planet, then go “home” you basically get stuck unable to travel anywhere.

Except for the suggestion you may have too many locations saved, I have no idea what the issue would be. Since it’s not even letting you mark a location, it doesn’t seem related to skills.

You can’t fire a warp augment at a little star, it needs to be a physical planet that you can see in the sky to be able to mark a location on it. It’s never worked any other way than that.

Once you have a location saved for a planet, you can then travel to it, as long as it within range, even if you then only see it as a little star in the sky.
