Random fireworks going off nearby as you explore caves on the 4th might be kinda fun =) Especially if it attracts the mobs just a lil bit…

Absolutely! BDO have a really cool summer event and it always gets players to return. Maybe an annual summer event could do the same for Boundless.

a summer event would be a good idea. could start at Summer Solstice (recognized by most cultures in some way) and last for 2 weeks as usual, that would include july 4th (which outside US (and Philippines according to a quick google search) is just one of the days)
event / holiday could include fireworks, some beach activities, sunglasses and visors as wearables, some water gun splishy splashy thing with spitters, something fun with campfires (place a special event campfire, a thing starts like the winter meteor… idk) and I have to insist, outdoor goulash cooking

Well, a solstice event, considering it’s deep winter in half the world (which, I understand is nothing like the winter which with I am familiar, but still…).
A solstice event could involve building a structure in which the rays of the rising or setting sun must align and focus on some crafted object to create something of value. Maybe a special Solstice Totem that can only be forged when the solstice sun’s rays go through an open door and hit the forge. Or something.
Yer Solstice Totem could send coloured fireballs into the sky like a Roman Candle. Fun, wow.

The solstice is an event which happens twice per year and affects the entire planet.
It’s referred to as a summer or winter solstice depending on where in the planet you are.
It’s not exactly a holiday, though many cultures have celebrated it in different ways over time. It’s an astronomical event where one hemisphere has the longest day of the year and the other has it’s shortest.
