Thanks, at least my suspicion got kinda confirmed that it might be wiser to turn my main into a miner/mass crafter. If efficiency comes so much easier at later levels, I’d rather be “stuck” on my Tier for a while if I’m able to efficiently make some experience.
There’s not really a site where you can check out different builds, is there?
Not to worry about the forged tools being that expensive. That was towards launch of the game. They now sit around 9000 depending on tier. If you want tools for say t4 they are around 5k maybe less. But they do eat thru the wallet. My work week ends on Wednesday morning so we might have to wait till then. I can only get on for a couple hours in the morning when I am working. I’m pst time zone
I think miner is best choice for first character, it gives really good xp when you keep mining all special nodes and bring rocks to your base and use it to craft things out of it.
For first miner character I think it is important to stay on planet range where you can one hit rocks, only go look higher level planets if you need some certain resources or color.
Using way like this:
You get xp almost anywhere so check out easy feats, do building, chiseling and join group hunts if able to, people are really helpful on hunts and it is good way to meet other players.
I think leveling 25-40 is most struggle but then it gets easier and if you make alts don’t use too much time to play with those early, it just eats time away from getting xp to your main.
Just trowing in my 2 Cent.
Welcome to you and your friend, may you enjoy the game.
If i would have known at the beginning what i do now i would have made only 1 character and all skill pages.
With time and Patience you can make 1 character the do it all char.
No Need to split the xp between 2 Chars.
Pursuing “quests” thatgive Money isa good idea for a starter.
And i understand, what other People say is cheap, like 9k coins, is a huge jump for you. If you come find me one day on Besevrona, i give you and your friend 100k coins so you can continue unburdened for Abit. Coordsare 0/0.
I totally agree - 5k or 9k are still huge amounts for us. I’ve been careful with my coins and still only have 14k. That’s a very generous offer though.
I was not even aware that there were coords ingame.
I personally only made one character for this very reason. When jobs get split up, exp is harder to come by.
I would recommend both of you spec-ing to a more general guild that focuses on gathering. When you get higher level you can respec back and will have multiple pages.
Heading to Serp (T5 Diamond) will get you a lot of Diamonds and Titanium and allow for you to continue with your progression in the game.
Good luck! Follow your own path of course all the fun in the game hehe
The minter is your friend. Any stone you don’t plan on using turn into stone doors and feed the minter. Essence is another good one for the minter as well.
If you are mining, make sure you are using an atlas and look for the hot spots and don’t underestimate the value of iron or copper to sell and make coin. Also, you can do alright starting out by gathering desert swords and rossetta nox to sell the leaves and beans.
Make specialist alts for everything… crafter, forger, hunter, miner, gatherer, wood/soil harvesting…
start them with crafting volume epic to get the feats and quick exp… the switch to a specialisation… then after a while rotate that specialisation. So your miner switches to a hunter etc.
You get 3 full skill resets with every character, and the feats you get from each type of specialisation add up the xp and coin really quick.
