Well I answered it in my first post. The purpose of this thread wasn’t to debate if Oort Online was a good name. Rather to explore if there was a better name. It would be extremely unlikely that we had picked the perfect name in the beginning. Clearly the name Oort has meaning and connection for many people in the community (and our team). But we want the utter best chance for the game to succeed, and with this in mind, we want to explore all and every opportunity to give the game a boost. FYI - we do this for everything, the music, the sound effects, the models, the textures, everything is scrutinised. The opportunity with the name is that we can lean on our community for additional ideas.

Been trying to investigate what the new name might be, not had any luck with the EU trademark offices, and digging through the studios’ garbage has only turned up empty food delivery boxes, star map reworks, and a rolled up carpet with some pulpy mass inside with orange stain marks that I was afraid to open.
