Add "buy devs coffee" and "buy devs pizza" to the shop

Let’s get some of that wholesome mtx going too. :>

I’m in if I can buy a beer instead.

Haha, nice, I’d be in!!

Never seen it done like this, but I have seen precedent, in fans sending treats and such to another studio. Always thought it was a nice thing to do to show appreciation.

LOL, I was thinking sort of the same, that given how it is here at times, they might well appreciate (or need) something a little stronger than coffee…:beer::beer::beer: Hey, it’s Friday!

idk i would be for it if BL went free to play but having a $50 paywall than having a microtransaction store and a donate to the devs button i dont think would play out well with the mainstream folks

I mean, Loadkill is totally right, though.

I’ve mentioned many many times myself how much I find it horrendous for Boundless to have a retail price + in-game store + sort-of-subscription with the Gleam Club.
If Wonderstruck would remove the retail price, making Boundless a free-to-play game and added more small things to the store (like blocks, masks, body paints and maybe cosmetic armors), I’m sure it would bring more players and more money. I’d be able to tell more friends about it. But right now, it’s just not an option to say “hey, wanna join me on this MMO/building game? Got 40€ to spare?”.

THEN, the coffee / pizza idea would make sense.

I disagree completely. Divide the amount of hours you’ve played by the cost of the game. (I’ve seen your build many times and know you didn’t build that in 100hrs).
Who plays to much Boundless.
We do! We do!
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Lol.

You’re damn right I didn’t. I have about 1500hrs. I’ve bought a lot of cubits to be able to get the plots needed.
But I don’t really see the point you’re trying to make, though.

I would quit in a heartbeat if they add blocks behind a paywall, nope, sorry…

If you already bought cubits. Then you technically already bought them a coffee/beer or 2. So thank you!

Eh. Fair enough.
I figured if the game became F2P, that’d be ok to have the recipes of some blocks like the recently added octigrid and filigree blocks behind a paywall. That’s how Creativerse does it, and I have no issues with that myself.

I’m fine with cosmetics and all that but how Creativerse does it is horrendous, sorry.

I actually installed it over a week ago, they keep pestering me to buy the Pro version and who the heck would not want that when you’re playing the game seriously, then I saw all the other stuff behind a paywall and quit the game. I know myself and I’m kinda sensitive to that sorta stuff (which they count on) but I also don’t have a lot of money to spend so it would be extremely dangerous for me. If Boundless would do the same thing, buhbye!

thats why i stopped playing Creativerse, im not gonna buying sets of new blocks to build…

Haven’t played CV is months, and when I started playing, I bought the Pro account thing after maybe a week of play, so I’ve never really seen how bothersome their ads about it could be. < shrug >

But I mean, you still paid 40€ (or whatever it costs in your currency) to play Boundless, so the argument of not having a lot of money is moot. Then there’s the Gleam Club. Maybe you don’t use that?
Then it’s just about the devs not being all-over-in-your-face about it.

In principle, I still find it better to be able to get a game for free, try it out, see if you like it, and THEN pay some kind of upgrade account if you think you might stick around.
In itself, CV has waaaay more blocks to play with than BL, even if you don’t get any blockset in their store.

Thing is, devs just have to find a balance in how the players pay for the game. I think CV has done better, IMO. I might actually get back on CV one of those days, if the game is a bit more optimized than it was. Either they added or they’re about to add a feature allowing players to paint most blocks at will like BL spray-paints without any components/crafting required. If their game became almost loading-free like BL, I’d switch back in a heartbeat. I mean, CV does have private worlds… BL’s selling point is still the cool graphics, but how far can that go, really?
