It’s really not the debate of what they drop because they have to drop some junk or getting rares would just be way too easy, but rather how it drops. That’s why I was saying classic RPG style of click loot rather than Minecraft scatter-on-the-ground loot.
no they actually dont need to drop ‘‘junk’’ or ‘‘gray items’’ as we know them from most mmos, since we wont have vendors to sell them to it would actually be counterproductive and a waste:
in repopulation everything that drops can be used for something like a pig drops meat, skin and dna samples, kinda. i also have a long post about corpse looting talking about if we hsould have realistic drops or wow style ‘‘pig can drop a sword’’ drops.
just because things can be looted and used doesnt mean that rares are easier to get.
but even if they can be used doesnt mean that i want it, if im killing pigs to get hide i might not want to meat because they take inventory space. and the other way around.
I agree completely, I as well do not need or want equipment to drop out of a pig rather materials that the pig is made from… Anything you can’t get from the earth should be made by players or found in a chest, relics of the past.
