Hi does anyone have a link or made a list for the new currant blocks in the game for prestige!
Thanks in advance Fiesty
I don’t have them as a single list, but they’re all available on the Boundless Crafting site
e.g.
http://www.pfiffel.com/bl/blocks/
and somewhere is a list with prestige bonus (chisseling, colors etc) to get the max bonus… but i have to search for it… maybe in about 12 hours… if i dont forget this…
That is so wrong.
In what way?
The newer system doesn’t reflect the block’s prestige as simply as the old one.
Since the value at the beacon can fluctuate by literally hundreds of points when the block is placed, the base prestige values given at the web site are a little hard to believe.
It’s in line with what they said that the base prestige value of a block is not something they want people to be focused on. The end result of the various multipliers when you place a block on a specific build can vary so much it’s not very useful to focus on that number.
The base value has always been secondary to the overall build. You could once see all this information in the in-game debug menu, but I assume it was removed to prevent people from gaming the Prestige system.
If I remember correctly though, it took into account the percentage of your build that was chiselled, the block variety, how many blocks were gathered off-world, etc…
Many factors play into Prestige, but you can still effectively just spam Refined gleam all day long for the best return.
Maybe someone could do some digging and pull up the current multipliers? @Spoygg
Thank you to all those that posted.
Just to say my builds are not all about prestige I was just curious what they give to building etc.
Thanks for this I thought it was all about that too I heard…I’m still learning the game lol
There’s also the wiki. If someone comes up with a description of the multipliers, it could also be posted there for people to find.
if some1 understand that… maybe you can explain 4 us all… read it a few weeks ago… but cant understand the most cause its very… special… xd
i dont know about actuality…
It seems that everyone current prestige data sheets are incorrect by now.
Refinded iron blocks give 110 prestige but the sheet says 18. Also as for many other items…
It’s possible that what the servers know about prestige does not match what the raw game files on the client say about prestige. That would be cruel of the game developers.
Where do you find the value 110 for placed, unchiseled Refined Iron blocks?
In the way when I lay that block that is not the value I get. Remove , place remove place. Its consistent. I’ll check the number again but what you posted was almost like gleam value. Did you happen to check for yourself?
Lol exactly. That site is wrong as hell.
The site merely lists the “base value” for any given block that you place and there are a load of modifiers applied to that base number. I’m fairly sure you’ll get a different number on a different beacon? I’m not completely sure because I havent actually tested it. But I do know that for my current build I’m working on that after placing about 25 stacks of stark mustard concrete I’m now getting 0 prestige for each unchiseled block I place in a large wall of the same blocks.
I do recall a dev post in one of the game update threads a while that described all the factors that went into calculating the prestige applied to an individual block. It didnt have any hard numbers or facts but it was a goof description.
@wakeNbake is right. The prestige listed on those sheets are the base value before any modifier. You will get more or less prestige from that block depending of the ratio of that block in your beacon.
That looks to be the old and now outdated calculations for prestige. From what I remember reading it’s an even more complex calculation now.
Basically, you will now be rewarded greater for variation and creativity and laying down large repeating patterns will result in heavily diminishing returns eventually.
The site lists base prestige, which I believe to still be correct. The multipliers that I am aware of include:
Teir of material (some examples: raw gathered, compact, processed, refined, decorative)
Number of block in the same beacon (% variance is another way to put it)
chiseled block percentage
chisel variance (if each block is chiseled in the same shape it becomes worth less)
Number of blocks in the same teir of material (% variance is another way to put it)
Foreign colors to planet percentage
Block to air ratio (I think air needs to be 1/3 before it starts loosing prestige but just a guess)
If you have a completely empty beacon, and add one Refined Iron block, due to the multipliers I would not be surprised if it gave you 110 prestige, each block will give you less the more you place though, and if you run out of “air pockets” it will start reducing the value of each block… its a complicated system.
It really is trying to promote variance in materials, craftsmanship (chiseling), and block rarity. While also combating common ways of “gaming” the system for easy numbers. Its not perfect, but I think it is more robust, and does the job better than the launch prestige system.
The site is 100% accurate, the data is drawn from the game servers and confirmed by the devs. The inconsistency comes from various multipliers and modifiers.
Are the multipliers still visible in the debug menu? I haven’t bothered with prestige optimizations in what feels like years- but I recall you used to be able to see exactly what ratios were being applied to any individual block and the blocks base value.
When all bonuses are reduced to zero, the placed block only adds the base value to prestige. (This is why often the first 10-100k prestige is easy to get on a single beacon, then gets progressively diminished returns.
I wonder if the bonuses are calculated per beacon, per chunk or both?
