Pants!!! Woo!
I use Photoshop CC 2020 + an Intel Texture Works plugin for DDS files (the Nvidia one isnāt working anymore).
Then just play around with the texture, RGB channels, etc.
That I guessed accurately.
But I donāt know anything about boundless modding. Is there a tool I should know about?
For Blizzardās game, I use CASCExplorer to open and extract files from their archives.
What would be Boundlessā equivalent?
You can go directly to the local files via steam or your PC
There are many programs you can use to edit the files, depending upon what type it is. Notepad for .json, Photoshop or Gimp for image files (plugin might be needed), etc.
Be careful with editing files that you arenāt familiar with though. It could cause your game to not load, then youāll have to āverify integrity of game filesā for it to wipe/re-install the original files.
Itās a good idea to create a copy of the file you plan to tinker with.
OOOOOWH, I didnāt even check! All the files are available just like that?! O_O
From the get-go, I was expecting some kind of encrypted archive file like what a lot of other game companies have.
Lol, but the diaper is still there. Oh well. Haha
I think we are really just a bunch of space babies with diapers haha. Oh man. So funny. We can make portals but cant fly space ships
No driverās licence XD
And we play with blocks
Leggings count as pants?
lol not getting rid of the diaper eitherā¦that would cost dinero (and they already have someone for that)
Damn, itās fun and easy!
Hereās my very first try at making a body-paint for my Centraforge-alt, covered in various compound stains.
Gonna make some more tests tomorrow!
EDIT :
There, better! Used some parts of the Hand body-paint texture. Might change that tomorrow.
I downloaded a a program called paint.net for free. Thats what I used to open the files. Now you can edited the files as well but I used a program thatās super old because I know how to use it better. I never did anything with RGB. I just made my body paint using the green tones that are in all the body paint files.
Edit:
Just checking my file to the mesh.
Not to shabby. But Iāll be adjusting and changing a few things.
Iām so happy right now, I wanted this for a long time.
āTonight, we celebrate! For tomorrow, WE HUNT!ā
oh, thatās what Iām using all the time - so if it opens and edits the game files I can play with it easily as well I guess?
Yeah works fine. But Iām editing in an old program called fireworks.
how do you make it available in paint section of the menu?
do you have to replace one of the paints you have purchased?
Yes you do @boundmore
Can PDN (paint.net - guess the acronym didnāt save me any time) open DDS directly?
Durrrr my PC toon has no skins. Iām guessing you just went and stood near your PS4 toon with your PC toon @georgegroeg?
Yes paint.net opens and edits the dds files. And you have to save over an existing body paint.
Yeah Iām doing it now as I edit my file. My main has motion body paint so I saved over that one on my pc. I look at my character and see where I need to edit. Iām adding bones to the back of the legs and inside of the arms now. And added cartilage in between the bones.
