Okay, I worked the system. I dug up plants on a tier 1 and then popped them on a tier 4.
I now have enough for a skull mass craft.
Which red blocks are giving the coolest effect?
Are we going to be able to craft these forever? Or just until the next event where we will be able to craft something new?

I really hope to see the crafting recipes for these two items to disappear for good next Halloween, so they become legacy items, and new items take their place as craftable.
