Ive always been asking the same question. What sort of friends do I have?
Finally managed to whip up a (somewhat) working version of the price history.

Data recording seems to have been running only once after each restart… From now on it should happen once a day, at midnight UTC.
Hey!
Is it possible to get setting for default view?
I don’t like that Item Catalog is open when I go to page. It will block part of listing because my 2nd monitor has smaller resolution.
It should only stay open when there’s enough space to do so without blocking the view, does it happen all the time or during resize? A screenshot might give me a hint.
It stays open after I have search item. I don’t use catalog often. To me search bar and favorites are main ways to check items. So as improvement idea able to choose default view from Catalog, Favorites, History or Nothing would be nice
Because of catalog stay on it is always one additional click to remove from view. This just one of those small things that can get annoying after you need to do it it every time .
Screenshot to describe this issues. (Screen resolution is 1280x1024)
Edit: Issue seems to be that using Search bar don’t hide catalog. It only hides when you choose item by clicking it.
So if you hide the whole side bar thing, search and select an item, it automatically opens? The side bar should remember it’s state (visible/hidden) and which tab you had active
edit: Ok I get it now, I’ll make it auto-close from the search bar as well
I have to hide catalog every time when I visit to site
I wish it could remember my view option
Hello @Mayumichi,
I love to use your website and love the improvement with the new shopping API.
However I would assume you are storing the data from the API in some kind of database.
Which makes me wonder if there would be a way to query a shops complete inventory.
It does remember the view state, but when you go to the (empty) main page it tries to be clever and auto-opens the catalog. It should auto-hide from the search results too, but it’s not working atm it seems. I’ll fix that in the evening
Yes it’s technically possible and I actually have something like that in the works. The only problem is that there’s no way to distinguish beacon identity (someone can name their beacon to be identical to yours) so some results might be incorrect.
I figured that the api probably had some kind of beacon id included, not just the name of the beacon.
Have this happening while i was looking for sweet beans.
Proof we are in the matrix
Seems that the cache issues persist… At least that’s what I suspect is going on, the hard part is that I have no idea why the browser doesn’t realise there’s a new version, I can’t reproduce it on my win 10 chrome Ctrl + F5 fixes it?
seems to work now, i get the planet names.
Now we can enjoy glow cap price speculation! And ride Earthyam Bulbs to the moon!
PSA: I got confused by this at first, but the legend lines (next to 62,60,56,52,51,50) don’t reflect upward/downward movement, they are sloped just to connect to the line that they label.
Edit: If you doubt the earthyam bulb play, I’ll just point out that you can buy them for 0c or 0.01c and sell them for 1c.
Did you try a new phone?
I can do that in about 2years
@PrincessMaude Caching seems to be more aggressive on phones, it should fix itself after a while, if you want to get it working right now, you’ll have to delete your browser cache. Sometimes just spamming refresh gets it going as well. If anyone knows a server side solution to this (it’s an apache server) hit me up
@Alwin Hmm, any ideas about how to make it more clear that it’s not a trend line? I like the look of it moving along on some clean graphs, but I can see the possible confusion.
@almund The side bar should now respect the state you set it to, I found a ton of bugs that messed it up, hopefully I got them all!
