Fixed! That update really didn’t go as planned it seems
Am I missing something? I searched for oortian mulch and nothing was coming up. I have not encountered this issue with anything else I’ve used BUTT for so not sure if it was an issue I created.
Thank you
Also wasnt able to find slingbows of any kind, was mostly looking for unforged stuff.
@Vansten and @Cyranx15 the site only lists items that have been scanned (and apparently only those with some results). Each material has 8 tools, 16 different materials = 128 items so it’s a fairly large set of items to scan for, I’d like to be able to change item sets easily before adding such a large amount to my personal list.
I’ve added mulch to my list.
Ahh that explains it, fair enough. Still been super useful, so cheers!
Someone will eventually scan for them I think
If someone wants to make a list of all items and share it with me, I’m happy to do it at least once or twice a week, but I’m not updating the list haha
It takes me right on 3 minutes to scan each planet.
Also, are you going to adjust the coloured data freshness bar at some stage? I love the concept, but I feel like 4 colours to cover the first day, then no change in the next 5 days seems unbalanced.
My suggestion would be to change the 6 day marker to 3 days. Still plenty of variance to show the freshest of fresh in the first day, but I just think it should go red well before a week.
There’s different colors? I never see a color but I look at the website on mobile
Highlighted green is < 1 hour, orange is over 1 day, and red is over 6 days. So there are 4 steps within the first day, which I think is fine. I just think the massive jump to 6 days is excessive.
Mostly based on my experience with the old BTN.
I’m open to changing them, they’ve been adjusted once already. It’s currently like this
The concept was that they fall pretty rapidly during the first day, while the last ones take a while to go away.
I don’t know how you’ve done the back end, but is it possible that you could build the display for data freshness out of the actual data returned by the search?
As far as I can tell when someone searches for an item the indicator for the planet data is the same regardless of when the actual search item was scanned for.
It should function like that, or maybe I misunderstand what you mean. For example
Yeah that’s pretty good. Apologies if that’s what it was already like before I posted. It’s kind of hard to pick haha
It had been like that for 14 hours Not such a long time to notice the change especially since I didn’t really advertise it.
I only started really using the site today though hahaha
I guess all the planets I checked were either under 3 days or over 7. Either way I misunderstood, and I think you’ve done an amazing job on the site.
Thank you for creating such an amazing tool to go hand in hand with the awesome work of @simoyd, and the devs.
You really want it? Cause I made one, the master list, the one with (hopefully) everything from the knowledge of our oortiancestors.
It’s pretty massive, I hope the harvester or the website doesn’t choke Took 16 minutes on Gyosha. 894 items in total.
edit: I’m starting to think it can’t be 16 minutes, if 200 items took 10 minutes. Maybe something’s going wrong. I’ll keep an eye on it.
What have I gotten myself into?!?
Maybe the other 694 items are really unpopular, so no data to collect?
I’m running the list in the background and the two planets I’m hopping between while building stay green. But purposefully scanning the whole universe with this many items doesn’t seem enjoyable at all
But 5 people scanning 10 planets each might not be so bad.
I’ve decided to scan all the Aussie planets, plus Biitula (A friend has a shop there). If a few people do something similar, we should be able to keep half-most of the universe fresh.
In saying that, it was always difficult to get people to scan a handful of shops with the old BTN, so it may just be you and me
EDIT: Took me exactly 11 minutes to fully scan my home planet, compared to 3 minutes yesterday. Don’t have time to do more today, as it’s our national holiday.
Some items were definitely scanning slower than others. That’s the only insight I’ve gained so far, and it may just be my perception.
EDIT2: One more planet before I leave
So Lutrion was roughly 30 seconds quicker, but doesn’t have most items in stock. I feel like this may account for the smaller increase in time taken for such a huge list, since the original list was already scanning the top 200.
I don’t know things though, I just think hahaha
Just got done scanning about 20 planets for the last few hours doing the full list, out of everything i wish PriceHarvest had like a pause or a Resume when switching between worlds but anyways
#TAG IN whoever up for uploading the next batch
