Chiselling glass

We can chisel lanterns which are made from glass so would it be possible to chisel glass blocks at some point. I think this would add so much to the builds, we could build huge glass domes on floating islands on hostile planets to protect the inhabitants from the environment and creatures or even on a smaller scale it would add a lot of detail.

I think the cost is fine for making single blocks of glass, but if you’re making a bulk batch it should be 5-10x more efficient. Possibly make one of the advanced machines required for efficient glass crafting? As it is right now it took me and a friend several days of digging to make a large window for one house. I would also love to see glass slabs and chiseled glass, along with a texture that is borderless, or at least has the border only around the edges and not the middle.

Frameless glass

With only ever allowing cubic-glass, it wouldn’t be too hard no, but at some point we would like to allow the glass to be chiselled too if we can, and then it becomes “very hard” to have a consistent “frame” in-texture around the glass. Having a consistent frame is basicly what texture blending is doing, but we only support texture blending on “standard-slopes” and not on square or bevelled shapes (because the effort involved would be monstrous), but texture-blending also largely relies on blend…

Glass is awesome, how about

Glass is awesome and adds an depth of aesthetic to builds. Would it be possible to allow a square chisel to operate on glass? It would sure make creating more beautiful window in half block walls or trimmed window pane designs
