It’s time for the June surveys for [Chromis I] --[T3 - Rugged Lush Sovereign World]-- [Active]!
Chromis I is a world where the colors change every month based on community poll!
As always, there will be two polls. The first will determine the theme, or color palette, that will be used for the second poll. The second poll will determine the specific colors for each block. Ties are resolved through random number generator.
Color selections are hand-picked to match the theme while also ensuring most options are not currently available on known worlds.
Additionally, at any time, anyone is welcome to request that a color be added to the survey, regardless of the theme. This world is here to help you get the colors you want! Make sure you take a look at https://boundlessinfo.com/colours/world-control to check if your desired color is sovereign selectable.
New this month, rather than doing the normal theme survey, we are going to be doing a color group survey!
Palette Survey: (June 14 - June 19)

For the June survey, we’re doing a palette survey rather than a specific theme. This may end very ugly, but it’s fun to mix things up occasionally!
Pick up to three of your favorite major color groups from each section (the forum forced me to split it up). The top three at the end of the survey will be the colors used for the final color survey.
Group One
- Black/Grey/White
- Lime
- Moss
- Green
- Mint
- Teal
- Viridian
- Turquoise
- Slate
- Azure
- Cerulean
- Cobalt
- Blue
- Lavender
Group Two
- Lilac
- Magenta
- Violet
- Berry
- Fuchsia
- Cherry
- Red
- Rose
- Orange
- Sepia
- Taupe
- Mustard
- Tan
- Yellow

if you look at group two vote results as a horse race, it suddenly looks like you cannot guess who will win xD
edit: Looks like Violet is edging ahead! Can Violet keep this lead for herself?

Violet has taken the lead, with a three way tie, neck and neck fighting for second!

Last day for this survey!
I should be able to get the second survey up before the end of the weekend. I’m working on some new tools to speed up the process, so that might delay me a little.

Okay, the color survey is finally up!
Vote up here!
I’m still ending the survey at the normally scheduled time, so be sure to get your votes in right away!
Some technical info on survey changes
If you didn’t see in the other thread, I’ve built a new tool to help me find colors for Chromis I surveys. The new tool means that the colors here are more likely to be ones that are not currently available on easily accessible worlds.
Basically, none of the colors in the survey should be on any homeworld, nearly all of them are not on any sovereign I know how to get to via portal, and none of them are available on more than 3 worlds I know how to get to.

Some thoughts on this survey…
I think that if we do another color family survey like this, it will have to be groups of colors, so like all the greens would be grouped as one survey option, all the purples as another, etc. Having only 3 specific colors was too restrictive when we’re already restricted to colors that aren’t already on worlds.

It looks like we have 11 ties and only 8 hours to break them!
As always, ties get broken via random.org rolls.

Chromis’ colors and Welcome Center are updated! I’ll update the image in the main [Chromis I] --[T3 - Rugged Lush Sovereign World]-- [Active] thread sometime in the next few hours once I get a break.
Thanks for voting, everyone! I think this was a really neat experiment and I would like to do another soon! If you have suggestions for other big shakeups to the color selection process, feel free to share them!
For July, we’ll be doing the normal theme survey, so if you have any suggestions, pop them in here! I’m having trouble thinking past “It’s 90 degrees at 5:30 AM” when trying to come up with a month-appropriate theme, so anything is welcome!
The theme survey should go up on July 11 and the color change should happen July 25 or 26. I’m thinking August might do a dual survey thing and do color changes the last week in August and the first week in September, just to align the surveys with the months without losing a color change, but I’m not sure.
