Coil destroyer - Coil should not lose durability by causing damage. why devs want the old featrue of coil?

It seems that this problem still remains unresolved.
Although this feature is in design from the developers.


If some bad guy who disappointed with this game and gose to leave.
But before he leaving this game, he might consider doing some bad things.
The easiest way to do without cost, or even no evidence - is to enter between coil and machine.
Death - Revive - Again
Break all coils of this hapless guys – it’s even better if it’s crafting something needs power!


A Terrible idea, but anyone can be done, and still can be done. -If you think you are a bad guy.

So - Coil can be cause damage, but should not lose durability by this.
Can it be said that developers think that someone will exploit this in hunting?

I can’t find the positive meaning of this feature.
The bad guys will turn it into a means of harming others…
And ordinary players will face some troubles…
Why not be more simple?


And I haven’t mentioned anything that those little wildstock broken my coil when I first use it.

You could lock your engine room?

Block coils like most people do

Read post above. Simple answer to topic. Can’t break coils. Sorry I took offense to things I’ll gladly apologize to you. Yes deleted posts but was more for player understanding on this thread

Potential solution, dont allow players you are friends with to damage coils in your plots. Now total strangers can not grief each other.

All items in the game need to degrade via some mechanism - without this then players will find a way to abuse or exploit them.

For example, the Totem didn’t originally have durability - and players abused it by “place block, gather block, repeat” macros.

The Coil Beams cause damage to open the space between the Coil and Machine.

But as above, if the Coil Beams cause damage then they can’t do it without degrading.

Hah, I proved that within hours of coils going to the test server with my infini-miner! Glad it got fixed, but I really could use a few thousand stacks of igneous stone…

not cause damage to coil to break this “block”
is “enter between coil and machine” to run out durability of coil.

In fact, if there is any block between coil and mechanism - why not make coil don’t work?
If there is an entity, cause damage to entity.
If there is a block, “insulation”.
Simple and no such problem.

I dont see what is the issue. Do locked machine room as someone said before.
