Cubits or other reward for unplanned maintenance/downtime

So we all know with one fix comes a new problem, from my previous gaming experience with other games and as a game hoster myself I think that players should be compensated for random maintenance actions it’s those that make sure that the game keeps going. Therefore I would recommend to have a maintenance cubit payout for all active accounts even when it’s as low as 10 cubits it’s a good amount in the long run, most of us have a life besides the game (I did say most not all…) And even when some maintenance patchea take only a matter of minutes it’s unknown how Long such patch takes and what else it brings with.
Just my thought on the current system

I’m happy they grow and fix the game and I don’t even have to pay anything for it.

totally agree. and cubits are so easy to obtain that any other means of getting them is worthless in my opinion.

It’s not about paying for anything I see it as appreciation for the community as a whole

What’s easy to obtain for you could not be for another, we are also not the same person and we should not think about me me me but us

but cubits are really easy to obtain even for fresh player. if you have problems, just read some guides here on forum how to quick gain levels. cause as u kne u get cubits per each level. and past lv 50 u getting 300 cubits per level (200k exp)

So to clarify, you are saying because the developers are updating the game (fixing bugs, giving content) and have to take the worlds down for patches they are supposed to pay us cubits? Or am I reading the idea wrong?

so it seems. i understood this the same way as u did Xaldafax

We’ll if u are being open about that I think there’s some game issues that should have been resolved prior release it’s not a must it’s a suggestion if they can come with any other reward yeah so be it I’m open for that it’s not the fact I’m in need of it lol I have cubit overflow, it’s just a gesture from their side

Example maintenance claim box that gives a certain item of some sort

I can respect the idea and intent. To me, though (maybe because of the generation I am from), it feels like giving people gold stars for just showing up. So I wouldn’t be on board with the idea, personally.

I think everyone would agree with that and even the Developers. Unfortunately things just played out the way they did and the best that can be done is we all stick around while they bring the game up to full speed. Or take a break and come back of course. They are doing what they can to fix things. I don’t think we should be paid for that mistake.

U said “paid” I never said or mentioned paid u just change the whole thought of what I suggested
I said “rewarded”

Free cubits everyday sounds nice, but games don’t normally give away premium currency for free and for good reason (especially everyday).

Out of the MMOs that I’ve played, none of them give out free premium currency. You either need to buy it or earn it, which is fair.

I think it is interesting that this type of post pops up on all forums for games.

League - patch’s we get RP
WoW - patch’s we get store money/gold

Even if the value is low and the intent positive there is some variance of this request on every game forum I have been on.

At what point do we need to reach before everyone realizes that patches aren’t something ‘extra’ but a required part of the existence of any game…like I mean required for the last 20 years…this is nothing new  lol

The only instance where I ever experienced that players were compensated for maintenance was in subscription based games and only when the downtime was longer then 24h.
Everything else is nonsense.

This thread just sounds like “I want free stuff”.

Also: The alternative to unexpected maintenance is that we sit with unlocked doors for 2 weeks.

I wasn’t trying to change what you were saying - sorry if it came off like that. So I can replace “paid” with “rewarded”. To me the context is basically the same - giving a reward for just playing and having to wait for the patch to be done. I feel the patch is the reward.

We’ll glad we do all have a different type of view to this, but yea I’m sure we wil see something coming thanks for the input from the community!

Exactly my thoughts. Im happy each time something is added to the game. I see then, that dev team is trying to keep things fresh, adding new content, or fixing existing bugs or glitches.

Really? I am surprised to hear that is a common trend that is happening. While I guess I wouldn’t mind free stuff like that, I certainly will double down on my analogy of giving gold stars to those that show up.

I don’t understand the reasons. I guess for those that want to be always in game it makes sense. The developers then just need to adjust their coding to allow patches to be applied while live… that will take some work.

Welcome to 2019 where game developers have to work harder to keep the players happy and entertained haha
