I did try myself to buy gems but no one sold them to me so went out and got them myself and struck some deals with others.
If a dedicated miner wants a deal, ie. free hammers, persisting pies and fast brews for a part of their loot I’m all ears!
Even willing to buy the other part from them!

I sometimes get cleaned out pretty quickly, but best time to check on weekdays is around 6-9 pm EST. Holiday today so just put some up in Gyosha a bit ago though! What I stock does vary though, especially if a new exo comes up, then usual gathering gets put on hold for a bit.

Tho I think someone already got most of it before I got there.
I had 0 coins on a lvl 2 alt. I just went mining, used 2 persist pies,2 hammers and sold everything I mined and made:
Today’s trip plus the other day when i loosely toyed round with it brings up the profits of 2 mining trips (4 hammers + 4 pies + 20 brews)
so 472k and if I had bought everything would have cost me 20k for hammers, 1200 for pies, and 20 brews for 5780
… that brings a total net profit of 445,020 coins for roughly 4 hours of game-play over the course of a few days.
key part again: mark your baskets you’re going to sell to! then you can port to any hub and go to sanctum and then use your location marker you created and saved to warp for 100c! I wish this was a tutorial tip for new players.

What resources did you target to make that much?
I didnt target anything. I mined everything. Roughly 2k diamonds, roughly 2k sapphire. A ridiculous amount of iron/ and then titanium followed by gold and silver. 10-11k units worth of medium/hard coal. On the saph planet, i had the tech devices to sell as well as fossils; on the diamond planet I had the coal.
A lot of people i noticed tend to ‘target’ things. That’s cool if you have a specific need, but if you are playing the game as a miner, then I like to look at it as “mine all, sell all”. I don’t target anything. I just dig dig diggery doo.
So 4k in gems I guess and then thousands of ores, thousands of coal and fossils and tech.
Just out of interest what kind of hammers were they, you say you’d charge maybe 5k for them so nothing really high end?
Dmg boon 8, aoe 4, busy bee 7 and I actually had -600 durability defect on 3 of the 4 hammers.
That’s why I say even hammers with defects are still good forges.

Exactly it’s easy to make money if you do the work
Those are some impressive numbers then if you got ~1k diamonds per 1400 durability hammer 
I usually get ~600 per 2000 durability hammer
Hit up the TNT Superstore we are buying at some of the highest rates around for fossils, coal, gems and metals!
Gem clusters tended to be 9-10 blocks so I guess it works out over time. Maybe I had a good rng day
Oh and I didn’t account for pies, so it’s a bit closer then but still miles better than me

Yea the problem I always see and hear is being able to find someone to sell to. It’s easy once you know where you can dump. We need a way to make that friendlier to players. You should have to work to gather the resources. You shouldn’t have to work so hard to find someone to sell to. I had to delete 22 of my old bookmarks that I used to use and then spend an hour finding new shops and finally had to use the forum to find buyers.
I’ve got a similar set of hammers with no durability defect but a useless quirk. I’ll update those when I get a chance to run again.
And be sure to account for the epic skill as well if not already!
