Not sure, i havent followed much in fallout 4’s info, cause i never got around to playing any of the games, too many aggressive fan boys, like wow xD
I haven’t played it neither but I saw it at the e3 thingy
Yup they are using something similar, fallouts version seems somewhat more advanced than this though.
Fallout 4 is more like Loadout’s crafting system, each part you changes actually changes the weapon, im thinking purely cosmetic or only slightly stat altering. as a way to make a weapon you like to look at rather than having to use predetermined weapons, a way to add depth to the creation of items, and also a way to add a great amount of personal customization for a minimal amount of work (not saying it wont take work, but not as much as if they had to handcraft everything)
but it was a long discussion and i reckon it died down for a reason, my biggest arguments for is the fact that players can customize their weapons to their liking and it would be a great way to add collectibles to the game, meaning if you had to find the different styles as recipes, my biggest argument against is the fact that you cant really make too unique weapons, or rather you cant make themed weapons in the same way, if this system would be a thing they seem pretty limited to allowing everything to be somewhat similar so the various parts fit.
