Yup, and Iâm just telling you weâve already HAD that and it didnât work what so ever. It was such an ineffective solution that it was abandoned entirely. Adding a coin penalty only opens a new can of worms. Negative coin, for example.
Edit: these frequent edits make it impossible to have a reasonable discussion.
And this hereâs the other reason I think you didnât read what I wrote. You politely accused me of generalizing the thoughts of the community, but I already said clearly here that âat least from those who respondedâ in general agreed having more options for penalties seemed like a good idea.
Then you should have responded to the coin argument also, but you didnât, and accused me of doing something negative, when all Iâve done for the past 2 weeks is help new PS4 players left and right, and itâs incredibly upsetting to be accused, even ârespectfullyâ of what you just did.
Some of us are posting via mobile and can not easily keep up with the high rate of posts and edits- but you can attack that instead of my points, thatâs cool. Nobody is going to reason you out of an opinion you didnât reason yourself into in the first place.
Look, I didnât come here to offend anybody, just to share my opinions on a poll. Iâm done here, Iâve nothing more to add to whatâs already been said.
What are you even talkinâ about now? I edited ONE thing in this discussion, and it was to add,
âMy thinking had evolved on the issue after 30 posts, but you deliberately chose to quote an early post, an made an argument on it.â
You claimed I was generalizing, and I wasnât, and I showed you a quote from a comment I made hours ago that showed I wasnât, so I accused you of not reading through all the posts before accusing me of something, which is factually true, or youâd have known I already put a qualifier in there.
Right, so come on in here, insult someone as if they are tainting a discussion after they just had a great reasonable discussion with the other community members, then walk away without so much as an apology?
Maybe they want to try new things in the game they have already played and finished for 4 times. No one wants to use infinite life or infinite resources in any mmo or survival game. Having no fear of death or having no challenge for gathering resources soils the game all the time. If you donât want death penalty you can just play minecraft in creative mode which you will get tired after 3-4 days of playing.
Oh my ! this is worth than XP penalty for me. Imagine finding a diamond hot spot far in another planet and dying to lava there and after respawning you are in your beacon in your own planet.
I donât know how Iâve offended you, and Iâve not attacked you. Iâm not apologizing for something Iâve not done. Thatâs not how discourse works. But if you me to continue sharing my opinion, Iâll happily do so.
Nope. I choose âkeep the penaltyâ, and not âimplement a choiceâ, never mind it was not an option to choose, because if it was I would not choose. Did everyone who choose âkeep the penaltyâ commented? I doubt, so please donât generalize. You do a very bad thing, You state your opinions as facts, but they arenât. They are still only your opinions
Haha yeah, for me, I wouldnât mind trekking back, since I like explorinâ, but as was explained before it can be abused, so thereâd have to be a coin cost associated with it too.
I wouldnât want to impose such a limitation on anyone, as I think giving you an option like other MMOâs do, in WoW you can rez at a graveyard, or go into ghost form, right? Itâs nice to have that choice.
Yes I would be against it. Everyone must be equal in the game. Those who select less harsh penalties will advance faster and those who select harder penalties , will fall behind.
I added this in the OP, so people like you, sztosz, could respond and disagree and explain why, I didnât expect to be insulted by both a moderator and you.
Discord you are, and frankly, with that kind of authority, why couldnât you have just said, âIt sounds like youâre generalizing, are you?â Instead of sounding patronizing.
I did not read any of the posts. I responded to the first one, with the pool. And then just skimmed responses. I didnât see 28 different people responding, so you writing those who said âkeep the penaltyâ were fine with implementing a choice is a flat out lie. Maybe if you used more words like some of those [...], many of those [...] or something similar, I would not have problem with that.
