So the likes get exploited just like footfall. Everyone in a guild likes the other guild builds to add prestige. Voting like this can always be exploited.
There wouldnāt be a reward other than maybe showing up on the map when you get near it, no prestige or coin. Itād help people find cool stuff to look at, and give bragging rights for how many likes something got.
People today are quite narcissistic thanks to never ending social media response - getting a like would likely be enough of a reward
@Evergreen but the shadow proves the sunlight though⦠just keep swimming!
THE PUNISHOORT
So like how trove does it. See no problem with that. Tho if itās only 1 like per account we might get a better feel for how small the player base is
It was a great post even before the edit IMO. Just saying.
Even though I just went out of my way to get to a bogus shop stand thatās underground and isnāt accessible (would report it but thereās no way to get there ) I still believe the shop scanner is a crucial update for this game to be successful. I think the people who have mentioned that if you arenāt getting sales then you need to adjust your price are absolutely right. I might be missing something but to me itās either the people who were buying from you donāt play anymore or there going somewhere else to buy it.
This is just my opinion and I could be wrong but I think the scanners will eventually balance the market properly. Those who sell too high wonāt have sales and those who sell to low will always be out of stock and will basically have to spend all their time trying to refill their stands. Those two factors should eventually bring a balance to the market. Thatās what I hope anyways.
As far as removing footfall I make a fart noise with my mouth every time I read that.
Actually is doesnāt need to delete it saves me from spending 6 hours looking for something I need it helps a lot when your shopping!
Shop scanner isnāt the problem.
Im an exchange shop owner for 1 year now and Ps4 user i can tell you this.
Price checking with other exchanges is easier now.
Traffic as in supply buying and selling has been going down before we even knew of the shop scanner.
And i can tell you this there are to many shops.
Some shops you have to tell your self they donāt want coin. Sell to your neighbor and triple your profit. Or buy from your neighbor and buy 10 instead of 1.
Some shops selling or buying almost the sime things as their neighbors for the same price.
Because there are to much of the same shops you basically get price wars. Ill go cheaper.
Some are outrageous in their price.
(Like brick selling for 100c i can get marble cheaper than that)
The best way now to make coin is supply existing shops. Specialized shops like an Exchange, food, build, hunt, forge and so on.
No point in making new shops because it will only make it worse.
And foodfall down?
First beacon alt or main character?
Because if you donāt visit your beacon with the character that it belongs to it will go down.
Second make more connections. Its an added pain but portals to several networks.
Third if you have to do it with footfall good luck on a good week if I remember to empty beacon i net 3000c. If i go out and collect for my exchange i can make at least 10 times more than that in a week.
I canāt tell if youāre being serious about that or joking but I donāt think it matters. There never is going to be a good time at this point in time to wipe the universe. Weāre kind of stuck with what weāve got for a universe at this point.
Although, Iād definitely like to see some new perma worlds added to the universe. Would be nice to get some worlds that didnāt look like a 5 year old colored every block with the same color. I kind of want the worlds we explored during the filming of the trailer. That would have been nice. They all had way better color schemes to them.
Honestly. I think the people who benefit the most from this scanner are those that run an already popular mall, those that have a shop in those popular malls, and people who actively work and manage their shop and mall.
I honestly think those are the people that benefit the most. People are more likely to run to a place that has a large collection of shops and shop stands and baskets to make purchases than hunting down the absolute best deal. I certainly wouldnāt jump to a world and see the lowest price in the universe is exactly on the other side of the world. I just wouldnāt run across the world just to save a few bits of coin. Thatās a waste of time.
I really just donāt see very much of a negative with the shop scanner.
I agreeā¦i am to lazy to look in knowledge tab to be honest but i like it when setting price
I donāt even think itās going to cause people to raise to the lowest possible price. That just isnāt all that possible. We donāt even have ways to bundle items together and see them as a whole product. Like selling a forged hammer, a pie, and 10 mega brews as a product for by itself. If we could do stuff like that it would make shop keeping a lot more fun. That would immediately force shop owners to be a lot more creative when conducting business. It will also immediately set those actively trying apart from those who just donāt really care. It will be obvious as night and day between those people.

Even though they could be benefiting more than me and as I mentioned Iām not inclined to run across a planet for an item myself if there is a reasonable option nearby, Iām getting new shoppers even though my stores are isolated apart from their portals.
But then, some of my prices are considerably below the next cheapest options⦠really, if I were to join a mall Iād probably have to raise the prices there since I donāt have enough play time to keep a mall store stocked I think⦠
Where is your shop?
Main two are on Gyosha and Alder - linked to each other, best way to reach them is through TNT (Pakaās Place and Elysian Fields - was planning to close the latter soon due to cost but since Iām doing better now financially in the game might afford to keep it going a bit longer). Can also access through the PS and Ultima Gyosha hubs, and Sasquatchville, Kindred Bay, and the Reapersā place on Alder.
What youāre talking about is supply and demand. Of course youāre going to have to raise your prices a little bit if you are running an active spot in a popular mall. You naturally get more foot traffic. But this also means being in a mall is going to be a lot more competitive than before.
