Will there be mounts/pets in the game when it is released? More specifically, will there be a taming function in some manner, for certain creatures?

First i want to apologize for getting off topic.
Second: @TheBirne , whats the point of getting into an online game if you want to play totally solo? The whole point of online games is to make people play together. I know that not everyone is a groupplayer and I also prefer to be able to do certain tasks on my own but c´mon would a little bit “forced” trading really already be too much social interaction? I´m afraid that if really everyone is able to craft everything the economy/trading in this game will be practically non existent.

Post 1.0, will future features be added as free patches, or are DLC being considered?

Will the funding goals continue after 1.0?

For this point I remember the devs saying that the game will be built so that also solo players have their fun (may be only on private servers), so this aspect is important to keep in mind while progressing through the development. I think many players will love Oort for it’s MMO nature, but still there are some who just want to play it alone on their own worlds. The fun of the MMOish gameplay should never suffer under the circumstances of solo playstyles, but still we need to find ways to satisfy both gamer parties.

I also thought that crafting professions would be good and wanted (even if only for giving a bonus instead of limiting the repartoire of the “non-proficient”) but may be the devs come up with great news for us … They would not surprise us the first time :wink:

Q: How many tools do you guys think you will implement?
Q: You’ve often mentioned that you’re not a huge studio (21 people correct?) and that fact that will force you guys be a little more clever about how you implement things. How much time/manpower would you guys be willing to devote to a single feature? Obviously it would be a situational thing, but give us like a rough average so we can consider that in our forum banter.
Q: What’s the turbulenz engine like? Could you describe it for us? What are the strengths and limitations that you guys face with the engine?

Well in my mind eventually I will find a group but in the begging you will have to remember that alot of people will be trying to claim land, and will fight over resources so I would like to be by myself in those times, I play games to escape reality sometimes I go as a bandit, not everyone likes to be a good little kid and group up at the start and if you know me I am very picky about building in the game you can ask zouls about it

What about the idea of omega titans… Basically rare occurrences which you find titans wandering the wild which are less powerful but still maintain a challenge, this would be able to provide people with a little bit more training and some more challenges to face while exploring for respurces

Uhh. i want to go in the other direction and tie them in

  • Are there plans to have different types/difficulties of titans on the same tier? (meaning having small wandering titans, defender titans that you need to kill to progress and Ancient titans which offers the best gear and are a great challenge even for amazing groups of players, all within a tier such as 1,2,3,4)
  • In extend to how hard endgame content are gonna be, have you made thoughts on that? such as having from tier 1 - 10 in worlds that are normal and then 10+ and 10++ for the hardcore players?

Yeah, especially if the +/++/…-system will be possible and if such worlds are/can be connected to the universe :blush:

i want to ask another question. are there going to be tiered worlds.

  • Do you already have an approximate idea of how much a rented server/world will cost per month?

  • How far “away” are character races? Or: How is the current development state of character races?

  • How did you get the idea for a Sandbox-MMORPG?

  • If the dev team would decide: What would be the next founding goal?
