Explain your internet identity!

After HOST’s forum-game, I realized that it could be fun for people to explain their choices of usernames and avatars around here.
To clarify, I was gifted the joke-username of “Elvenverbours” by @RobZadouch and it took me hours before I properly understood what he was going for (first time, I read “Elevenerbours” so I was wondering “11er bours?” then it ticked “ooooh, Elven Verb Ours, because Goblin Noun Ours…”.

Where does your username and/or avatar comes from?

For instance, below is my own story:

When I was a teenager, about 15-20 years ago, because of the weird laugh I was able to make, which made me sound like a crazy goblin, I was signing drawings for friends as “The Drugged Goblin” (which in french made something like TSG).
On the very first forum I frequented, Aerie’s Guard, which had a bit of a fun roleplay-ish thing going on with a lots of people enjoying to read and write (lots of fans of Dune, Game of Thrones, Warcraft, etc).
I made quite a few attempts at representing that virtual space in 3D on the Unreal Engine:

when I presented myself, someone came to me in-roleplay. And then proceeded to kill me with lightning (because who wouldn’t, immaright?).
I was immediately reanimated, and my belly was stuffed with cotton, like a teddy-bear, to make-up for exploded organs.
The guy who killed and reanimated me said “from now on, you’ll be Goblinounours”.
In French, teddy-bear in pronounced Nounours (like “bear” being “ours”, kinda if you said “be-bear”).

So I sort-of went with it and became the resident crazy goblin living in the caverns below the virtual literary city, often popping in threads by opening trapdoors strategically placed in every room, often under carpets. Even made an horrible 3D model of my lab:

As for the avatar, made it myself, and a lot of stupid variations:

And you? What’s your weird internet backstory?

Im afraid im not very inventive when it comes to my online name. Or most of the variations i use.

My name varies irl per situation or per person

Birth name Tom and at times my mother/family calls me Tommy or Tommyke. So I basically respond to all 3 of the variations with out thinking.
When i was pretty young there was a girl at my school i became friends with and her name was Temmy.
That also sticked with me .

When i needed a account name (first account i ever made) i could put in only 4 letters (can’t remember for what or what kind it was) but came up with TMMK. Figured no matter what “version” of name I would use TMMK fits any time .

So maybe this explanation may help with my (most used) toons

Temmoky
Temmeky
Mokey
Tommyke

[edit]
Avatar im using here is from an app i used a very long time ago just liked it. A toon version of me

Mine was because I pretty much only played with the weapon “Huntsman”… not many used it in Team Fortress 2 at all… but found it rather fun and satisfying to land perfectly curved arrows over objects that prevented direct line of sight to the target :-p

Team Fortress 2 is still good fun  But certainly can be called a glorified cosmetic simulator (ey, there is pants there!)… hence some of the animated videos about lately

Well my name is George. And the first RPG game I ever played call Shining Force which allowed me to choose my name. So I fancied up my name a bit. And that’s when Georgio was born. I’ve used the name in countless games along the way since then.

Names Rob. Can be a douch…therefore when read out loud its “Robs-a-douch”. Most games/forums censor it if I put an “e” at the end (proper spelling), so I just stuck with it as is

Rydralain came from the Drow name generator in Neverwinter Nights back in like 2003.

The avatar is because I don’t have any good pictures of just me being a normal person (either bad pictures or pictures of me silly with my kids), so I grabbed the lego dude I made at the lego store and used that. This is also my avatar on my work Slack and Discord.

I switched to the new lego guy because it’s the new one I made, but also because it’s part of the new me that I’m trying to figure out.
