Gleambow Racing is Coming Back to Boundless!

If I remember correctly, the best strategy to defeat the meteors was to run to them and burrow under them…or in them asap…and collect as much as possible, as quick as possible. I dunno if it will work the same way this time.

I was trying to remember if extra damage was needed with aoe!

Sounds like you remember it made no difference. :+1:

yep, did a lot of this last time

Some people even used the drop growth and garbage method into everyone’s inventory…that was yea…I also remember when someone decided to dump a ton of revive augments on everyone so people couldn’t swing at the Meteors.

If the whole system of loot is only based on a drop % and the item cap is set in stone you are right.
I said it doesn’t HAVE to lessen it. Just raise the cap as @Stretchious mentions. Could also add 1 random plant outside of the loot % per meteor level for another example.

The fix for this is fill each space in your inventory with a single block of gleam, ort, and whatever else you want to gather. That way while they are droping junk you are colecting the goods. They also drop stone, trunk, tangle, mold. … etc.

It also didn’t have to lessen the oort drop rate on T7 exo’s, yet it did, why would it now be different?

You mean on any world that drops the plants

T6 too then? oh yeah, you’re right there the oort drops less as well, hmm

Well I do not see a need for it in these meteors at all, also not for gold BTW, then again thematically, gold, at a rainbow…

Yea the only issue left is when your inventory is full and someone drops revive augments, they go straight into your totems

This is exactly what I do everytime before I hunt or go to an exo…so someone can’t fill up my inventory with junk and so I don’t miss the good stuff

Ah I hadn’t thought about that. @james any chance you could quick fix that before the event?

Because this is an event lasting only 2 weeks.
Because they can use this as another way to test meteors for future balancing.
Because everyone hates the way they did it with exo’s and they want to make us happier.
Because there are far less drop table options on gleambow meteors already.
Because we are constantly complaining about it.
Because they aren’t ready to have Oort seams.
Because I live in an alternate reality of wishful thinking and Andy Grammar tunes.
IDK, LOL! I don’t want less Oort I just like the dang plants.

Don’t you have to drag and drop them on totems? I don’t think it’s automatic

Maybe I haven’t done enough exploring but I really haven’t seen a lot of people using those plants. Maybe cause they die? Maybe I just don’t end up at the places where the people that like the farming stuff. Or maybe not enough people keep them from the meteors. I know I drop them right away cause they take up space. I’d rather have raw yams in my inventory :joy:

Nope happened to about 15 of us last year on a gleambow hunt. Unless they changed something since then. When inventory is full the game registers the empty totems as slots for the augments.

And this comment sums up some of the issues there were last time with timing and such…

  • lots of similar comments:

Yeah, a balance pass on them would be good, I’d say. If the use % is low enough, probably needs to be re-evaluated.
I don’t want these in the meteors at the expense of Oort drop %. I couldn’t care less about gold, it’s easy to get.

And the folks that have the installed meteor mods will have an advantage over the players that don’t? @james

I think it made them larger or more visible or something…

Everyone should have this…or no one.

Remember the counter increased for every meteor that was failed, I think it was by planet.
