I did that, same result having same error
Are you playing on PC or Mac? Furthermore, are your graphics drivers up to date?

PC, yes NVIDIA up to date
The only other suggestion would be to submit a game log. Now, since you cannot submit it in game in the normal way, you can follow the instructions below:

On Mac OS X:
~/Library/Logs/Boundless/log.txt
On Windows:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Turbulenz\Boundless\log.txt
On most versions of Windows %LOCALAPPDATA% is a hidden directory. To access the file you can type the path to the file directly into Windows Explorer.
