Hey game wont start in my pc

Turbulenz folder does not exit, i created it and no logs or any folders inside.
installed steam on my work laptop and ran the game perfectly no issues, however i still can run the game on my beefy gaming pc.
everything in place, reinstalled steam, game, AV off, firewall off, all dependencies are installed and i am so freakishly frustrated.
i see from the forum u guys been having this issue since 2015, doesnt look promising to be honest but the game looks awesome and i want to experience it!

thanks in advance for your prompt support

  1. Can you share some details of your system setup?
  2. Can you describe what happens when you click play in Steam?
  3. If you don’t even see a window appear then it means that a required dependency is missing or corrupted. Can you confirm which dependencies you’ve installed?
  1. win10
  2. steam says “running” for a few seconds followed by “synching” then nothing.
  3. the only thing that installed was the DX, the rest prompt i have same or higher versions installed.

I uninstalled steam and all games then reinstalled only Boundless and didnt help.

Can you manually run the installers in:

c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Boundless_CommonRedist

Untitled

What version is installed?

have no clue specially i uninstalled everything, C++ and .NET

  1. I need you to confirm which versions of the 3 CommonRedists you have installed. Without this information I can’t confirm if your machine is setup correctly.

  2. Do you have all Windows updates installed?

  3. Can you share some details of your system setup? Can you share the output from DxDiag.

1.Tell me how to know what is installed and i will follow your instructions.
2.Yes
3.Yes as soon as i get back from work.

This happened to me before. To fix it I uninstalled steam, and after re installing I right clicked on the steam icon and ran it as administrator. This worked for me.

Out of interest, what happens if you run the game directly from boundless.exe?

world builder doesn’t work for me unless I start it directly from .exe so maybe it is a solution @willcrutchley

Yeah, same

Hi,

Did you resolve this?

If not what files are in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\boundless? Do you have bounldess.exe etc?

If you do have the files can you “Run the Event Viewer app, in there look under Windows Logs -> Application" to see if there is an error logged there,.
