How do I get silver?

I currently have three alts and one alt has a usuable skillpage.

If you start out on Boundless the most sensible thing to do is start out a mining char with some extra’s. Mind that you can do most stuff with a char in Boundless, only not so good. But mining gets you rocks, and with a proper amount of craftingtables and refineries and the mass production skill you can skill up very fast! I used this method to level up two chars to level 50 in a few days. But i used my main miner to get the materials, so i was quicker, but it is a solid strategy for starting chars as well.

I wouldn’t bother with building and getting plots too much when you are starting out! This is something nice if you are much higher level. Keep your base easy and light so you also have the opportunity to move your base to higher level worlds if you get better skills.

This.

  1. get the 600 cubits to create an Alt slot
  2. Level the Alt to about 10 to 14 by repeating the tutorials (should be much easier now), or by processing rock to stone to refined stone, Whichever method you like - or both? IMPORTANT: Make sure the alt has the specific skills like recipes and mass crafting that you will need/miss from your main.
  3. Buy an empty slot with your Alt’s cubits, but maybe don’t use it yet
  4. Use one reset token to make your first guy a specialist - whatever you like doing or need most?
  5. When your Alt gets to 19 consider what you want its long-term role to be, then repeat steps 1 to 4. This time you won’t need to use a Skills reset as it’s free until Level 20!

I went Miner > Crafter > Hunter > Cook. With a Forger on my hunter Skill Set 2. Hunter levelled to 50 first - and is my only 50.

The discussion between Alts and Skillsets is down to play-style in many cases, so you will get different views. Some people like their identity in game to be through 1 character; some make the case that Alts make it too easy to be self-sufficient, which reduces the need for cooperation (and shops!); some really don’t like doing the early stuff over and over. Also, if you’re a fast-leveller you may want to get on with it and accumulate stacks of skill-points and spend them across more than one Skill Set.

What’s almost certain is when you get to Level 50+, and you earn 4 skill points per level, if you didn’t use a Skill Set before the only place you can use them is in Skill Sets.

You need silver to make items, need other items for what you want to do and coins are hard to get? Shops aren’t always the answer, I think there are too many of them and not enough shoppers. I’m making more coins from footfall than selling items. And I’d Rather sell items, I’m not one who loves the footfall aspect in getting it because a player took a step into their shop.
How did I get coin to buy items I couldn’t get on my own? Silver, rocks and other items. I traded copper for silver tools and can’t remember what else. Traded it also for silver and titanium, for refined sapphires. Traded food for topaz refined gems I make food for my guild and to sell at my shop The Making of Greatness at the G. Mall Set up another one where there are only ingredients at the New Leyden Market.
You can mine copper easily on level 1 and two planets, get peat and when you have a compactor compact the peat and sell or trade it. Ask what someone wants in the trading section and then collect those. Those trades can be for tools, weapons, or other items.

If you just want to avoid mobs altogether, the Shadow Effect epic is pretty much all you need. Plus whatever atmospheric protection is required.
