How to make Boundless fun and recover the dwindling playerbase

I was only using zombies as an example since I see “Minecraft this” “Minecraft that” aaaall over the forums.

I’m guessing you started on a lvl 1 planet? On lvl 2s, the spitters start attacking, and on 3, cuttletrunks and hoppers are introduced.

Elite and mighty spitters are the bane of my existence. Lol I panic when they start shooting bombs everywhere.

I think you’ll feel better exploring the higher planets. This game actually favors hunters, imo. Can get trophies that sell well.

There is alot of far more dangerous enimies on more dangerous planets. Each creature type has something like 5 varrients of it.

Personally I am 100% happy without some existential crisis enimies to have to fight mobs of outside of the meteor events. I would dislike humaniod enimies / monsters that would fit your discription.

We know titans are coming, what little I know is that they are big, boss like, and might have a connection to some kind of dungeon system. But things like that take more time to devolop, and this is clearly a passion project of the devs, so they aren’t going to rush features out to us.

Maybe there already is things in the game that would engage you (both meteor hunts and exploring the several lvl 5 and 6 planets come to mind), maybe if you came back after a few more months more stuff that interested you would be in game. I really knew nothing about what this game had to offer in my first 50hrs of play time. I didn’t reach level 50 with a character until well after 350hrs spent in game. I never played EA but watched the game off and on for years from the outside. I really think the reason more people don’t play, is they haven’t played since launch, or were burnt by other ‘similar’ games that were in EA for a long time.

you obviously haven’t encountered Hoppers or Cuttletrunks yet, especially on T4 and higher planets.
