Do I spite anyone for collecting easy hunt loot? Heck no. This game is a grind-fest already. It’s great that hunts are easily accessible, it’s one of the best parts of this game.
If others aren’t killing mobs, that just means more mobs for me! I happily collect those cubits!
I think that that is it in a nutshell. What could help is those with alts at hunts said that they have one there, tell us which one it is and use their own revive augs to revive them. That means we can carry on reviving the hunters and those that don’t have multiple personas at the hunt, that just need the loot and some support to get it. Or…we mind our own and enjoy the game. Either works for me, @ginabean. 
There’s are 3 different AFK type hunters. 1st We have the ones that are there not to help at all and just loot. 2nd we have the ones that are there that carry stacks of revive augments to revive people 
. Then there’s the 3rd, multiple account people I have had mostly good experience with these. There are 2 people that have multiple accounts that come on my hunts and they use them as backpacks to carry things that can help the group. Extra healing bombs, DMG augments and revive augments.

) If you are low level or even just new to the hunts and worried you may not be able to contribute feel free to ask if anyone has spare revive augments so you can revive from afar then all you need is a wood totem (free craft in backpack). Plus this would also provide you with added XP from reviving other players.

Forgive me if I seem obtuse, but how would one even play multiple characters at a time? I always have both my hands on the controls full-time for the single t00n I’m driving and I have but one attention to give. Are people scripting or botting their alts or something?
Extras just hang out on the side lines. Then when something is needed from them they trade I suppose.
Take PS4 toon at the meteor. Have your PC toon meet your PS4 toon at the meteor. One just sits with a loot magnet while the other plays. Collect loot on both then repeat. I don’t do it, but I know that people are.
While i think people should Boundless their own way, and people should spend more time minding their own business… I don’t think this was intended behavior and I can see why people might have issue over it.
Unfortunately, it will probably end with loot magnets getting nerfed.
No, pls not nerf to magnet. Developers should go opposite: allow us build mega magnets to our buildings that auto loots stuff from otherside of planet

If everybody goes on the same hunt every time this will happen maybe some off the people that hunted the proper way can now do there own hunts and have fun again just don’t get the hype to big and ya golden. Also if they don’t kill things the oort loot is lowered our did this change?
It does not matter if you kill a mob or not - the loot is always a matter of luck! I also had meteors, but where I did nothing (phone etc) … there I have already received over 20 oort!
Weird I don’t hunt much but though it used to work like that
we never really figured out 100% what factors the Oort drop rate if its luck or pure rng
It’s 100% just for luck! and nothing else! We at RTG are going out every night! Either with Jayce or alone - and yes, we also have players who do nothing or can do nothing! But after every meteor we compare how much Oort we got ?! … And it varies - no matter if the person did something or if she was active: sometimes you get more and sometimes less! So I can say because of the months of experience that it is only luck! Especially since sometimes the players had the most, who had done nothing but hang with a little hitch on a tree!
On higher level hunts, I would agree. On lower level ones though, like T4 maybe 5, most of the hunts I have been on have so many players, even if you are TRYING to participate, you are lucky to get one or two shots on a mob before they are down. I have taken my daughters account at times to get some extra oort when my portals are really low, but only on those lower Tier planets with a large group.
