I was in the Alpha and still here until Wonderstruck kicks me off the server when they pull the plug on Boundless.
Of course that will be because Boundless 2.0 game goes live the following day!

Edit, I just wanted to clarify, what I meant with this post was to tell people that other player quitting is completely natural in a game’s life cycle, but I worded it in a cold way so it came out as really brutal, me and being soft doesn’t make 2 it makes 100 haha.
People seems to be shocked when they see a player leave, but let’s not forget that it is the case for ANY games, even the most popular and beloved one like Warframe, it’s sad it see him go sure, but this is ONE player out of the potential hundreds or even the thousand that play this game on a semi-regular basis, sure he is a founder and I respect him a lot for the support he provided to the devs and the community, but if I personally was to leave the game tomorrow, sure it will be sad but why would you guys care about that ONE guy who decided he had enough and just stop playing ? does that really matter at all ? especially considering that there is a TON of players that still love this game to the death and will keep playing ? I’ve seen COUNTLESS Warframe veterans quitting because of thing they didn’t like, but it didn’t kill the game… not at all, in fact it has grown even more over time and these veterans who had quit a year or two prior came back to the game and enjoyed it again.
I know this might come as a bit rude and I apologize if that’s the case but I’m just speaking my mind here, despite what we might want to believe, as a singular player or individual we are ALL expandable, including myself, if one of us leave, someone will take our place, just like with jobs, what makes us NOT expandable is if most of us decide to quit in a short period of time without people to replace us, but as of right now, only a small group of rightfully unsatisfied people have quit, they will be missed, but the game will go on, with or without them, that might seem a bit cruel, but that’s reality, once a marketing push will be made, countless people will come and potentially stay, not all of them, but a good chunk of them
just reset yourself me and hash did it a few times you just need fine a more chill relaxed balanced way off playing
Yikes… You have to consider that some of us have interactions with each other outside of Boundless (in other games, forums, similar interests, etc) and it does surprise us a bit when someone makes a change.
I’m sure there’s no individual here that thinks if they leave the game that it will crumble to the ground, because it won’t. Sometimes people just need to vent their frustrations & make a change for awhile.
of course, and I respect that, I did this multiple times too, but I was talking in a broader way, I just worded it weirdly, but what I meant to say is that people shouldn’t loose their mind over someone leaving that’s all, I respect the support you are sending this guy, I was just talking in more impartial and “cold” way ^^
The big difference between Warframe and Boundless too are the player populations.
When your game has 400 people on a really good day loosing even 1 person can be quite bad.
I get that, but this is still 1/400 people, and yet you don’t count those who are not playing everyday, I’m pretty sure we are at least 800 to maybe even 1000 if we count those who play on a semi-regular basis.
But I was expecting people to take my statement this way, I have a tendency to be very VERY cold and straightforward when I speak my mind out, and it usually don’t sit well with people haha
we talking @C0ND1T10NR3D he has lots off fan’s
people quit and come all time no big deal but when people i like and others like do we try keep em
of course haha, I really wish and hope he comes back eventually ^^ I think he needs an hiatus, especially if he has been playing since DAY effing ONE, me too I would get frustrated with the game if I had played it actively for almost a complete year haha
yeah lol think red was there before the release aswell
you just need find a balance in the game
my golden rule is dont rush and if it seems like a shore just say no lol
exactly yeah, you need to consider a game like a hobby and not a job, if you don’t have fun anymore just STOP, you’re hurting yourself by playing something you don’t enjoy anymore, it’s no use to log in because you feel like you HAVE to, enjoy the game and quit when you’re fed up ^^
yeah some off us beta players already dealt with this
you just need let go off stuff and play at your own tempo this game can def get out off hand if you run hubs our city’s etc
also nobody gonna kill you if you stop a project our two and restart with something less stressfull and if they do mind they not helping ya have fun
yup, and I just wanna apologize to @majorvex if I seem like a pure jerk… I’m… really darn bad at being soft haha, I’m a very straightforward guy and say what’s on my mind without much if any filter so yeah. Sometime I might sound rude but don’t take it too seriously, I can be very cold sometimes haha
i understand sorta like @Buugi’s jokes
No need to apologize. What you said was to the point & what you wanted to say. I’m not offended or angry at all. I was just a little like “whoaa” lol.
I agree with everyone saying that if you need to take a break, take a break. We all have to do that sometimes.
that basically sums up me and meeting new people in a nutshell haha, all of them goes “whoaa” when they hear my opinion pieces
I know it won’t be enough to keep you around considering the rest of the post, but on PC, modding the grass is a matter of editing a few DDS files in Photoshop. I made mine shorter (transparent is less work, but I still want to see grass on builds and be able to harvest grass seeds) after the update because as a surface gatherer, I almost called it quits too. I don’t know exactly what changed but I can’t see anything either.
I agree. It’s a major annoyance and I don’t understand the thought process of making it this dense and tall. There should be an option for either shorter grass or to make it invisible (as a toggle). That option should be available for both PC and PS4 for fairness.
If the grass is like this on purpose for “balance”, this is a prime example of what people mean when they say Boundless is grindy and can get annoying; artificial obstacles in the way of enjoyment. It’s friction, not fun.
All this being said, I’m still content and think the update is great, but I can definitely feel you on that one.
Bolded the part I am responding to.
I think a lot of this is because you have a vocal minority on the forums who all want this hand holding “be kind” environment when that’s never going to be a sustainable atmosphere for a gaming community. Particularly for a game that needs to have game features and systems that enable people the reason to continue playing day in and out or at least periodically throughout the week. We “could” also blame the Code of Conduct but I am of the belief that it goes well beyond that. People complain about settlement merges, people plotting all around them or it being “okay” for someone to plot along two sides of your settlement to block expansion along that direction. There’s been toxicity around the economy and why the game hasn’t grown at all in player population. A lot of this I think can be tracked back to the decisions the developers have made because they want certain features and system in place along with wanting a certain kind of community behind the game that isn’t ultimately practical. There’s no way this game is going to have the same community when it’s 10 times bigger (around 2000 concurrent players). Nor will it be when it’s 100 times bigger.
I do agree that people don’t seem to want to be directly called out for stuff. There’s people on these forums who I think are incredibly stupid but some how I’ve gained their respect. Maybe it’s cause I am nice to them and would rather have a conversation or discussion, however, there are people that play this game who I honestly wish didn’t because their dumb as as all heck because of some of the stuff they say on these forums. So yeah, what you see on here is a lot of walking on egg shells.
I am just glad I am in a guild that has some really cool people in it who don’t annoy me. I am looking at you @Kal-El ![]()
Boundless is my favorite game. I deleted it from my computer, that’s my protest. Maybe when online is zero, they will return the lighting and colors that were during testing. But until then, I can’t look at her.
I apologize for mistakes, I use the translator )
I do understand what you mean
The new lighting system needs work
And they tweaked with water agian even though it looked great in testing from pics I saw
Im not bothering with farming just collecting seeds for my guild bros
And it is to grindy
I have left like three times before
But come back every time
Why I don’t know
But I find having a guild to help you through the grind is a game changer
So i guess thats why I come back, the people, not so much the game anymore
Those people that I can proudly call my friends are
@uni3k, @MrNiX, @Envyv77, @XxymoxX, @HastyChester, @ClosetChipmunk, @RavenTwospirit, @Mayumichi, @Aanika
And others that I can not remember there forums name
Anyway moral of the post is there are ways around the grindy not so fun bits of the game.
