Can’t build a turkey in-game. Too full of turkey stuffing gravy roasted root vegetables buns cranberries ham hot and cold salads squash, pumpkin pie apple pie whipped cream and cheeses. My mother visited, two of my kids made it home. Second day more turkey gravy ham salads (jellied and regular) squash beans buns cranberries pumpkin pie apple pie ice cream with in-laws. Turkey makes you really sleepy and gassy. No time for Boundless.
Canadian Thanksgiving involves family, travelling to be with family, lots of food and walks in the fresh air. The trees are at their peak of colour (and the sugar maples are spectacular this year!). It’s the best holiday: no crass commercialism, no religion, nothing on TV, just a national day off to spend with family and be mindful of a successful harvest. It’s also bittersweet because winter starts tomorrow and runs until the May two-four weekend, and winter here can be hard.
