In hindsight I admit the word punished wasn’t the best choice and a bit strong and to be honest this thread escalated a lot quicker than I thought it would, it wasn’t my intention to cause any arguments or friction between anyone. I would actually like the thread to be closed before any more damage is done.
Nope i was right! If you have an active revive brew then even if you die you will still have the meteor life active solo. Of course you loose the buff when you revive. This is one of the reason why i wish more people would use the brew hence why i was pretty sure. Anyways that should solve your problem. The brew is very easy to make.

ok, so this changes things… if you lost it even with a brew I could accept that and just request the meteor lost message to trigger earlier (as soon as you die)
but since the revive brew works, why would getting revived externally not work?
Would you be using revive brews if the external way worked as well?
i was going to try them out once I had a character that can cook and brew eventually, but I do have the ability to revive my main with an alt on another account/computer already, so that is what I do… most of the time my main has the death penalty, so normally I wouldn’t care, I might yell at the screen but i jump back in and either continue fighting or run and not bat an eye.
this time my main had no penalty for a change and thought i could take on a meteor but for whatever reason died…
[that’s another thing that i’ve been meaning to request, is a cause of death… there’s a notification for everything else but the thing I am most curious about. this deserves its own thread though.]

I should probably mention that the revive brews does not override your other active brew
oh that is nice. perhaps i will start carrying those regularly…
still though, if the intention is that the meteor should be lost if you are solo and without brews regardless of being revived or not, then the ‘lost meteor’ message should happen as SOON as you die.
i agree too a change would be good if metors was just a means to get extra gems and other loot then i would be fine with the way it is but right now its the only real way to get oort so you kind of cant participate in the main mechanic of the game! if you play alone
But you can hunt meteors alone? yes not high tier but you can easily do meteor runs on tier 3 or tier 4 planets solo.
And you get the same rewards.
No you do not. . the level of the meteor is based on the number of players and not just the planet tier.
^ this you locked to level 1 meteors and have invest way more time to complete them plus 1 cheep cuttle push off a cliff or something and poof gone

ehm, depending on the group size, you are actually clearing level 1 meteors faster.
And even then both of you are arguing rate of gain, not gain per se.
So a multiplayer game rewarding working together is somehow unfair?
is not the rewarding teamwork that we are focusing on its the fact it punish’s and almost force’s you to have to join a hunting group to do them the current hunt meta you can hunt in a group has early has level 5 and get the same rewards as the level 40+ getting all the kills while solo you would need to be a much higher level to do them so why grind to level 35+ to do level 1 meteors solo when you can join a group at level 5 and get the loot form level 5,6 meteors
You get less Oort than if you stood there and did nothing in a larger group with a higher tier meteor you cannot get playing solo. So to say the rewards are equal is not the case.
How high level do you think you need to be to solo tier 3 meteors?
I did that mid to end twenties, get full armour and get the single point in resisting you need and you are good to go.
I never argued that playing in a group doesn’t help. And running with lvl40 is the same is people being carried in any other MMO that will always happen. WoW had ton of people being run through higher tier areas to get them up to level.
Again I never argued rate, I argue that you still get the same per se, i.e. oort stone and some other drops.
So you are still complaining about amount/rate of loot.
If you could get the same rate of oort stone and loot as a big group hunt there would be no insensitive to hunt in groups, ie no reward for playing in groups.
Sorry I was not clear. You are always going to get more Oort from a level 3 meteor than a level 1. But if you die in a group you are not penalized as far as the reward and if you are solo you are. . So the reward calculations are not the same. . Why is that fair?
