I heard mention of the Iron Fist and in watching a video by Game4Kickz he mentioned that the Iron Fist can shoot a type of bullets. Since I know nothing about it thought I’d hunt it up and find out about it, But search doesn’t give info of what it is used for or how to use it. Could someone please let me know?
Is it used to fight animals (as players don’t fight, right?)?
Do you use it to hit them?
Does is shoot out a type of bullet?
Do you have to make the bullets?
Can it be used to break blocks or is that a waste of a expensive item?
the iron fist are giant metal fists that shoots the knuckle part as a ranged projectile at mobs/blocks etc,it doesn’t shoot bullets and can be shot until its durability runs out,sadly i dont have a screenshot of them equipped.
It does break blocks - it’s actually irritating beyond description because it can mess your builds up and fill your inventory with random blocks from around the galaxy. But ya, just a weapon to be used against mobs.
Thanks both for the info. I have the slingbow and am learning how to use it. My son and I went to a t3 planet to some iron and took on some different critters. We were shooting at the flying ones and running for our lives. Just as we ran into our base and started to shut the door we both died LOL Love this game.
This. A combination of funny ping spikes, the ps4 assist aim switching targets, latching onto dead bodies and the sticks generally being more imprecise than a mouse +the fist breaking blocks you’re aiming over due to big hitbox or something ensures if you see my hunter out n about, he will be standing in a giant crater surrounded by dumped rocks, soil and sand
Not sure what you are meaning, this is my first MMO game, my son badgered me to stop playing match three games and this is the second game I have played that has real danger. We are both on PC and I am a lousy shot, he is a very experienced gamer. Disabled so his life is basically gaming, all systems. He picked a spot outside of the city so we would be close to it, but not too close. I have 24 hours of play, He has probably double of what I have played. I have bought a iron slingbow on planet Aldar, our starter planet and am learning how to use it. We have a base on TanaVII and are putting a outpost on the t3 (can’t remember the name of the planet ). He has one he made and knows how to use it. We just got unlucky and ran into a lot of spitters and the flying things that shoot bombs at you, as we ran into our base one must have hit us in the back. We spawned back into our base and could hear them going nuts outside, the pinging, the sounds they make and we could tell that there were at least two different type, maybe three. and there were at least six red circles moving around. It was late, we had played four hours and called it quits. Laughed over it, enjoying ourselves. I was wondering if the fist would be better, watched a video by Game4Kickz who said the Iron Fist uses bullets.
Read some remarks here and in some comments on videos of it happening. Some stated they like them to help in mining, but it would seem a expensive waste.
I had been trying to figure out which would be best for me. I’m lousy at shooting, okay with a bow in 7 days to die for deer and boars, but can’t hit the side of a barn with a gun. The goats and spitters have had fun killing me and I’ve killed myself a couple times drowning, LOL. I may play lousy, but I’m having fun .
I’m going to have to go back to Aldar to buy one if I can’t get enough iron for my son to make me one. They have a fantastic shopping area with I think fair prices. I’m thinking I might make a outpost base near it and take down what remains of my original base there. We are building our settlement on Tana VII, want to build a nice place, have a couple shops and more. Create some outposts on other planets to use for mining and such to get what we need elsewhere.
I’ve been spending too much of my coins on stuff I’m to impatient to wait to make. Copper hammer and a couple grapples, some meat as I am lousy at killing the goats. Now that I can start to make my own stuff I can start to save it for other items.
My problem is that I’m a new player, have no money to speak of, and can’t figure out how to make any of this stuff in the first place (I just made a big post about it). I’m getting seriously frustrated with the game and was hoping that my daughter would play it if I didn’t, but she hasn’t touched it since I spent the last of my cubits buying the extra character slot
Well i’d say, imo, the fist is more forgiving despite the shorter range. The damage is great early on. If you invest in control stat and shadowstep epic skill you can get right ontop of mobs before they aggro you. Need damage epic and points in power ofcourse.
My lvl 50 hunter still runs around with gold fists, it murders everything, including the ground!

I left a long post for you. I think the key to a lot of it is buy only what you have to have to survive. My son fusses at me because he has over 15,000 coins whereas I have only around 6,000. Can’t remember the exact, spent some last night for some items that he saw as good. And I’m going to really be more careful from now on. Bought 100 pieces of forged copper, then we go to another planet to mine and I brought back over 300 copper ore, so now I have copper going out the yahoo LOL
My suggestion is that you start a new character, new game or however it can be done. Do you each have your own computers? Play together and you can share the work. With both having access to the forges, crafting tables, workbenches you can save in the expenses of making them, I have two furnaces right now, my son has two and we can share from each other.
I go with the attitude that the first time I play any game alone, it is a learning curve and I will be using it as a testing one. Then restart a whole new one and am prepared to play and have fun. But we all have our own ways of playing.
The fists are a ranged weapon, just like the Slingbow. They hit for a lot more damage up front compared to a Slingbow, but fire slower. They also shoot in a straight line while the Slingbow fires in an arc, so they are much more acurate. Since fists do a lot of up front damage, they are also effective at breaking blocks. There are only two fists available in the game currently: the Explorer’s Fist (Iron) and the Golden Fist (Gold). Both fist recipies are special unlocks for buying versions of the game.
Actually on some planets fist one shoot rocks, where a similar material hammer need two hits. And they do IIRC same damage to all blocks. In specific circumstances going dual fists is faster than hammer when tunnelling.
